First I am hearing of this and I am pretty active in things.

Oh and a recall of the ASA MEC seems weird since two of the three guys that currently make up the MEC just got re-elected(one new guy). You would think that if people were not happy with them, they would not have been re-elected. If people truly are not happy with the MEC then maybe they should recall the LEC as well because its the LEC that puts the MEC in place and the LEC is supposed to be doing what its pilot members want.

Re-elected? When did this happen? I don't remember getting any info to cast a vote.

None of the people I have ever discussed union politics with had anything nice to say about those two guys. I guess then it seems this could very easily result in an LEC recall.

Time for ExpressJet and SkyWest to give ALPA the boot and form our own in house union.

I dont know any of the guys in question since I am an XJT guy. We just got an email from our MEC saying that the 2 of them had been re-elected(appointed) with a 3rd guy being new. That is why it struck me as weird that people were wanting to recall some guys that just got re-elected by the LEC. To me that says that you must recall the LEC's as well as the MEC as a whole to get the house cleaned out. If you just recall the MEC, the LEC will just vote in a couple of other guys that the pilots probably wont like either.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not, but wasn't that covered in the original post..? To recall the LEC.. not the MEC.

Coup d'etat them bitches

Ironically enough, even with a rebid for April, we still don't know if we can attend the meeting or attempt to bid it off.
