Wish I could go and help the vote but instead I'll be on a 7 leg 13:20 hr duty day, can I vote by proxy or whatever it's called????

Have you noticed the last ALPA emails are more timely and seem to be sucking up a bit. "we are holding the company accountable" blah blah blah Putting EVERY REPS email on the update.

I heard the flight attendent union has already files a grievance for the rebid. I gues they have bigger stones than our POS union. Way to lead ALPA.

Matters such as this should be decided by more than those that can be in attendance.

This should go out by mail or email for all to vote. I am as sick of these antics as the next guy. Aside from AeroMedical and Legal services from National, local ALPA representation has been seriously lacking. If your looking for reasons to vote out ALPA in general they come daily. This LEC and MEC seem less helpful than the CP's. I never thought I'd say that, but I believe it. They are hiding an agenda. Most likely personal.

I am not all that opposed to the 6hr/day ALPA pay, but damn it, we aren't getting our money's worth. If it becomes a press release worthy event for our overweight, lazy MEC chair to waddle himself over to the crew lounge for a once a term visit, then he needs to go too! He needs to park his azz in the crew lounge for a couple of hours every week and on different days.

On a serious note,
1) what happens if we recall the four?

2)Does that prompt a new election?

3)Timeline for that to happen?

4) When will new LEC be able to elect new MEC?

You can vote by proxy. contact Will Faruzzi and he will get you the info. You can get him on company email or look him up on facebook.

For all of you who continually bash the union. here is a chance to participate. if you are dissatisfied, take time to vote. If enough people get behind this, maybe it will send the message that we actually expect something (other than pizza) for our dues.

Can somebody please educate me on the reasons behind a recall? Are there specific details or just a general feeling of misrepresentation?

I think the way it works is, if you vote out the current LEC, you automatically are appointing WF as chairman.

Say what you will about him, but you can't deny that he's a passionate pilot advocate and straight-shooter. And frankly, he's more intelligent than some of the guys we have right now.

I'd rather have a commuting Captain who has spent years on reserve as Chairman, than the current crop of desk-drivers who sign MOU's all day and say things like "when you're on reserve, the company 'owns' you" and "reserve pilots aren't a priority." His personality is the type we need when dealing with this management group.
