#1. In Feb 2005 Dallas DCI flying will be ZERO -- a reduction of 202 flights per day.

#2. The INCREASES in DCI flying at the other 3 hubs equal 81 flights.

#3. That is a NET DECREASE of 121 DCI flights per day that have not been allocated to the remaining hubs.

Although this chart does not discuss increases in places like JFK, DCA, BOS, LGA, etc... It seems like they are creating the perfect storm with which to threaten Comair with a REDUCTION IN FLYING.

The net decrease is in DCI flying overall. It does NOT mention from which company this decrease may come. This is the perfect opportunity for management to threaten the Comair pilots with potential downsizing.

How about the ACA Dornier flights? Could that be the reduction?

Bye Bye--General Lee

Looks like SKYW and CMR ought to be a little nervous about this. 19 ASA aircraft headed to SLC while only adding 37 flights a day. 60 new ASA flights out of CVG, with a total addition of only 28 flights. Somebody's going to be flying less for sure...

Probably that and some of WigWam (Sheet-ah-gwah).:D I've heard lots of complaints from pax about them.

Anybody that honestly believes management wont use the threat of downsizing/furloughs to solicit concessions at Comair and ASA needs to wake up and smell the coffee burning.

This is not the kind of opportunity management would pass up.

80+ increased DCI flights out of other hubs, 31+ new DCI flights out of "focus" cities...adds up to a little over 120 flights to replace the 200+ DCI flights (although some of these flights are Skywest, Chatauqua and CMR) lost in DFW. 55+ CMR flights lost in ATL, 60+ new ASA flights in CVG (all this info came from the myASA web site). I sure hope it IS the DoJet or Chatauqua that loses out here...though certainly it is Chatauqua that will get the increased flying out of Dayton, Columbus, etc (so probably no net gains or losses)...

Time to get the ol' head out of the sand I guess...

Glad I didn't make that move to DFW this summer. I wonder if mgmt is having second thoughts about showing up to the ops class for everyone who's got it this month?

GG also mentioned more point to point flying, so I don't think the current flight schedule is necessarly indicitive of in increase or reduction of DCI flying.

57 more planes to ATL??? Where the hell are we going to park 57 more dam.m planes?!?! It's certainly better than losing the planes, but ramp space and congestion are already a bit.ch.

Now I can see why the company is so dead set against a commuter clause, they knew how many people are going to be displaced, and the are TOTALLY merciless in this. The message is clear, if you can't make it to work F*&K you...find a new job.

I'm really glad we expanded DFW so aggressively the past few years. Could there possibly be anymore stress on DFW people?

I counted 99 daily FRJ flights in the June 1, 2004 timetable.

With Chatauqua placing the EMB170 on their certificate will they be booted like FLYi?

I pray DAL stays out of CH 11.

Was DFW a junior or senior base for ASA?

IM NOT SURE WHY YOU GUUUYS ARE SO SURE IT IS A REDUCTION IN FLYING?

Sorry I m not yelling.

The memo says the timetable with all the flights will be out sept 18th.

this is a Q&A from the company website.

How much bigger will ASA be at Atlanta?
With the new schedule, ASA will operate 337 daily departures at Atlanta, up from 263 today. Replacing 57 Comair flights with ASA flights will account for much of this growth. ASA also expects to see continued growth at Atlanta in 2005, potentially growing to as many as 500 daily departures by year’s end.How can we handle more aircraft in Atlanta?
As part of Delta’s network restructuring, it also is “depeaking” the schedule at Atlanta to increase the number of flights that can operate at the hub. The new schedule eliminates the traditional “flight bank” system and replaces it with a continuous operation with flight arrivals and departures running continuously throughout an 18-hour day. With the new schedule, Delta and ASA will initially increase flights by 28 percent at Atlanta.

This is just the beginning. They also said no pilot jobs will be lost, that is what matters most to those of us with pilot positions.
