It was in fact not a negotiation, we were there to hold the mediator, and board members hands and stroke their ego, and ask again to please put a time table out so that our mgmt has to negotiate. While this was going on the company wanted to talk some and try and see if we could agree on a few things, which as I understand it we did, but I was promised first hand that we would not be moving south any longer, and I believe that to be true.

Med...

I agree with you 100%. I agree with the strategy of our union 100%. My reply was to many who have wondered why the misinformation from ALPA initially, and sorry if you disagree with how I lable it. They said this was not a negotiation, but just a meeting with the NMB, and yet it was. So, was ALPA misinformed by the NMB, or maybe they mistakenly misled us in their communications. At any rate, I didn't say I believe they lied. I said there were a couple options as to what happened. What www. said is probably true. I just wish ALPA hadn't been so adamant to tell us this was just simply a meeting, maybe they didn't want us to get our hopes up.

Dude your still missing the point.

For ALPA, this was not a planned negotiation.

For the company, who have known they had plans on moving on issues , it was a negotiation.

The NMB calls the company, and asks "have you had any change in heart?" Because, we(NMB) would like to meet and discuss were we (NMB) are at this time.

Company, says HMMM, uhh, maybe we have, come on down and we'll let yah know.

NMB calls ALPA, and asks the same thing. ALPA says no, we have no intention on moving, but we certain would like to hear what you(NMB) have to say about were we stand.

They show up, and WHATTAYAH KNOW!

Ok. Got your point. I'll buy it. I stand corrected, even though my belief was never any wrong doing by our union no matter what hoser thinks. Just trying to offer ideas.

2. The Union intentionally lied about the meaning.

Ideas! YGTBSM man! Have you ever talked with your union officials? Do you even know who they are? You may have flown with them in the past. Do you know how hard they work on our, the ASA pilots, behalf? Do you know how frustrating it is for our CNC having to put up with this company's bullcrap?

So you say the union never do any wrong doing? Yet you imply they intentionally lied about this issue. That's what pissed me off, and others! You obviously posted how you really felt, maybe you still do, and now you're trying to deny it. Doesn't fly my friend. You need to get the facts before you accuse our representatives of something you know nothing about. All you needed to do was call the strike center and ask. Do it next time before you post.
