Electrical command to the controller puts the controller in dump mode, driving both outflow valves open. No vacuum needed.
I heard a ASA captain ate his breakfast this morning. All of it. Why there isn't a thread on that, I am amazed.
Because I'm working on the thread about the Mesa FO who went to the bathroom yesterday. Heard it stunk. Why don't you start one?

One issue at a time here, pal!
Floater? Sinker?
ok crew screwed up blah blah blah, but was she HOT?
The Emergency Depress is electrically driven, pneumatically actuated- No vacuum of the 10th stage manifold ventury pump- it won't work. the valves are closed at the gate and it takes vacuum to open them up. You have to open the PASSENGER BOARDING DOOR very slowly to release the pressure through the small flap that opens on the first detent of the boarding handle.
not when its at the gate, no APU and external air attached...you can go back to sleep now.If all of the doors were closed, wouldn't you have the APU operating? If the APU's running with the LCV open, then you can open the EMER DEPRESS even on a -200.
An ASA F/A...thru the service door? That's a pretty hefty object to squeeze thru a small door. The diff must've been pretty high I reckon.
Go figger.
