I heard that ASA popped a Flight Attendant out the other day. Pressurized airplane and flight crew asks F/A to open service door. Flight Attendant goes sailing. She is ok. I'm sure scheduling blamed her for the delay.

Why do we have to post every little event that goes on at ASA? Dude get a life....actually get laid and that might help ya.

It's only a matter of hours now before someone posts the newest company email on Flightinfo. I'm guessing we'll start getting emails from ASA mgmt stating to not post internal company memos on a public message board and within an hour someone will smugly post THAT on FI.

Pretty soon this thread will turn into a fight between JB, WF and everyone else.

I'm sorry, I read the thread title and inadvertantly left the "out" out of my interpretation. I was expecting something completely different.

It's a shame the FA got hurt and the AC got damaged because the crew is so stupid! Don't they know what the emer depress switch is for? Good god.

The Emergency Depress is electrically driven, pneumatically actuated- No vacuum of the 10th stage manifold ventury pump- it won't work. the valves are closed at the gate and it takes vacuum to open them up. You have to open the PASSENGER BOARDING DOOR very slowly to release the pressure through the small flap that opens on the first detent of the boarding handle.

Electrical command to the controller puts the controller in dump mode, driving both outflow valves open. No vacuum needed.

Or shut off the air cart and let the pressure bleed off. You can't open (or crack) the door per section 1.
