Why don't you start one?
Because I'm working on the thread about the Mesa FO who went to the bathroom yesterday. Heard it stunk.

One issue at a time here, pal!

An ASA F/A...thru the service door? That's a pretty hefty object to squeeze thru a small door. The diff must've been pretty high I reckon.

Go figger.

The Emergency Depress is electrically driven, pneumatically actuated- No vacuum of the 10th stage manifold ventury pump- it won't work. the valves are closed at the gate and it takes vacuum to open them up. You have to open the PASSENGER BOARDING DOOR very slowly to release the pressure through the small flap that opens on the first detent of the boarding handle.

If all of the doors were closed, wouldn't you have the APU operating? If the APU's running with the LCV open, then you can open the EMER DEPRESS even on a -200.

not when its at the gate, no APU and external air attached...you can go back to sleep now.

Not to turn this into a systems class, but if you couldn't comunicate with the ground crew (because they are loading bags you didn't calculate for, and don't have a working headset anyway), what is there to do except open the door flap on the passenger boarding door? If you turn the packs off it won't help, or will it? None of my manuals get specific on this- it's a black hole and I remember some guys arguing over the issue in ground school, but don't remember the verdict.

We have a winner.
