ASA MEC response to loss of aircraft

Maybe SH can help us ALL get jobs at GJ's when they get all future contracts as they come up for bid! Why would we win any in the future if we couldn't keep this one????

PS....If I were under 1-2 yrs at ASA I would most definitely look at moving over to GJ, or Compass. That is where the jobs and growth will be for the next 3-5 yrs.

Heck Im almost 4 years in and taking a hard look at Compass. No way in hell Im looking at GJ. I need peace of mind at work...

I'll ask again, what concessions are you willing to give? I vote that you senior lifers go back to $75/hr and fly 99 hrs a month. That should make ASA competotive again. We can't afford to pay you six figures to work 12 days a month anymore, sorry. If you want that kind of money and schedules go to a major but until then stop dragging us down down with your inflated union salary and benefits.

I like this idea. Have them give up their third week of vacation and Ill sign today!

Let's hope our junior pilots and new pilots coming into the industry don't share your take on this. If they do, then the race to the bottom will continue until we all work for a few bucks and the chance to fly a nice shiny plane for a living.

The good news is that with upcoming retirements and Majors starting to hire pilots with no PIC time, crap regionals like GoJets won't be able to lure pilots with crap pay but the hope of that quick upgrade!

The best advice I ever remeber hearing was to get on with a regional you could live with, because you might be there for a while. If more thought like that, airlines like GoJets would die on the vine due to a lack of pilots thanks to their crap contract and pay.

The BIG question is can Gojets even find roughly 100 pilots. Let alone hire and train them by February 2012. I know ASA couldn't find 100 pilots in that time frame.
