I guess you have your resume in at Delta and are trying to brown nose your way into an interview.

if his desire was to move to Delta, then there is nothing wrong with brown nosing. I have done it to get jobs both in and out of aviation. Its called networking.

What my question posed was why was it so nice to hear from a Delta Captain? Just don't understand why anyone needs affirmation from Delta captain?
