I would have to believe the likely reason for this was more captains due to the desicion today to recall more furloughs. BM still manages to screw up most bids but this seems to be a likely scenario.

If i was an fo awarded a CPt slot and it changed due to a recall do I still get cpt pay at some point. Also a captain on reserve with potential to be a line holder bases on the final award, what's up? Anyone hear of this at another airline, anything in the contract that addresses this?

my guess is pilots squealing about junior guys being awarded the 70 when they wanted to transition over from the 200. I have a feeling super seniority may be the cause of most of it, however I wouldn't put anything past Morris

Does anyone even have super seniority? My understanding is that it only applies for six months after a displacement. I think it has been longer since the last one.

Yeah, not sure when it was exactly, but it must be pretty close to 6 months for the guys that were displaced with the last IAD capt award.....

There are a couple guys with the "super seniority" left. The other issue, if you are basing your comments on the standing bid list, is that thing is screwed up. If you are currently in your most favored position, it still shows your other choices, not always but for some. You can't really use it for what it is intended.

Wow you guys are hard on BM. Hopefully they realized the need for additional captains and they're just adding more Captains.

A recalled award won't affect the bottom line that they needed Captains and furloughs yesterday.

I bet we'll get a new Final tomorrow.

The real question is why the 30 additional slots in IAD? There was only 1 vacancy, and it seemed like they were staffed pretty well. (15 reserves for 45 lines). That just seems like a lot considering it is almost doubling the staffing.

I think they're back filling the folks who bid back to ATL.

Did this really require a new thread? There are currently 8 threads on the first page discussing the same topic. The moderation on this forum is terrible. You would think with all the ads, the owner could afford to pay a moderator to hold down the fort.

Yeap we just got a pay raise of a 100%.. still can't buy a soda with it.. testing the waters of the Terms of Service with full understanding is rather foolish... there is no warning for that...

Max Q, I'll working on merging some of these posts just for you... but some will end up in the non-av chat..

tons of flying being done by ATL based pilots in the UA system next month. Look at the lines, and you'll see how many of the pairings do 1 or 2 days out of 4 flying for UA. The increase in IAD must be to cover this flying.
