I did not see anything about what happens to a furloughed pilot who gets selected if ASA recalled during the 13 months contract. I assume you take a bypass or attempt to break contract? Is it possible to get screwed out of recall if you are over there when ASA recalls?

The way I understand it you get put on a LOA from ASA after the recall and when you finish at AM you come back to ASA and fly. Im not totally sure but thats what I was told through the grapevine, would be a good question to ask the elders before signing up though.

So if you get seleced to go, is it a whole new set of crew policies and rules?

Do you still have an ALPA contract, or is that done too?

From the other posts about it not being a bidding option and no actual seniority, I was just wondering.

Correct, new company, new policies, new rules, no union.

Do you have no comprehension or are you stupid?

There are no works rules, that have been published at least.

There is no union.

ALPA's contract only applies to your LOA from active status at ASA. No one has commented if Mekong fails before the duration of your contract, can you return to active status at ASA before the year is over, or will they make you sit it out?

Whether it goes longer or shorter, you can come back when you're done there.
