Who's in the junta... oops coalition? I never got the management memo...oops email.

You will be asked to vote for 2 captain representatives and 2 first officer representatives. This coalition asks for you to vote for all four of the following as a single group.

Lynn Jackson – Capt. Rep.

John (Barry) Lee – Capt. Rep.
David ( Bryan) Bowie – First Officer Rep.
Graham Welsh – First Officer Rep.

Don't vote for this coalition. Lynn has already proved that she has only her interests and those of her younger boyfriend in mind. Just ask anyone who was on the negotiating team last contract about the things these two pulled.

Yep, just saw it on the other thread. Don't know the FOs, and I'm pretty surprised to see Barry's name there, but Lynn is Lynn is Lynn. Before any of you actually vote for these people, do your homework about Lynn. She is no friend of this pilot group.

I virtually guarantee you the sales pitch was written by JB. Sounds just like him, and the whole thing gave me the idea I was standing in front of a circus tent. "Step right up and see the amazing pilot group saviors. That's right folks. Right before your very eyes, these four individuals will transform the working environment at ASA, get you a fair contract, personally shine your shoes prior to each duty in, and always have your Jepp revisions done for you on time! Step right up. Step right up!"

Just remember how you felt after you got out of the tent at the circus. What you saw wasn't nearly as amazing as what you were promised, and your wallet was a bit lighter than it was when you showed up.

i don't have a dog in this fight, and i apologize for interrupting...what's the deal with all this "older gf/younger bf" stuff?

Ask Joe Merchant. Basically, he broke up LJ's marriage because the two of them were having a grand ole time on ALPA's dollar while they were on the contract negoiation committee. He's alot younger than his gf, LJ.

VOTED IN FAVOR!

Don't be surprised if JB and Lynn Jackson are dealing with mgmt and would use their union positions to help bust ALPA in order to protect their careers as airline pilots. I'm not overjoyed with ALPA, but they are so anti-ALPA and pro-company that they'll do anything for their own agdenda. They will sell out the pilots for their own benefit in a heartbeat.

And you can bet if we were non-union we would not have it as good as SW. ASA has shown that without a binding agreement that they would make our lives even more miserable.

goodto are you really that much of a selfish ass? The 700 displacements dont affect the atr or the 200 directly. if a 700 captain wants to go back to the 200 and it keeps a more junior guy from being kicked is that a bad thing? the company requested it due to pilots asking for it. the jackass response from newwy has angered a lot of pilots as its floats around the lounge. this was a no brainer - except for selfish morons like you...

Wow. So, you're blaming the company's decision to displace pilots on the union? How's that work, exactly? I suppose it's also the union's fault that all those people got kicked out of lot 3 and had to move from Clark-Howell to Camp-Creek? How about ACARS still not up and running, this due to the union as well?

Don't forget AIDS, famine, the hole in the ozone, and global warming...

I sure hope that the other three candidates on this slate of four were not good candidates because their association with the first candidate will most assuredly guarantee their failure.

VOTED IN FAVOR!

I have heard two versions:

1. He started dating her when he was too young to buy alcohol. He thought it was cool that she would soon spend her Social Security check on his booze.

2. She was an elementary school crossing guard and he liked the way she looked in her uniform. She was drawn to him because even though he was only 6 she thought he looked like he was 8.

Of course I could be wrong it could be that no one would have either of them so they decided to make it a loser/loser relationship.

Interesting strategy for a campaign. If we don't get what we want, we will quit. I don't think this coalition will be getting many votes.

No, they didn't even say they WILL quit, they OFFERED to quit. Then said three times in a row that it will be up to the pilots. What are they gonna do, hold an election? A poll? Ask their friends? Right.

And yes, anybody could settle this thing in 90 days. All you got to do is roll over and take the company's offer. What Lynn's tiny mind can't seem to comprehend is PILOT RATIFICATION. She can sell us out all she wants, but the MAJORITY pilot group will not approve it. Then it's back to square one.

Voting for the Jackson-Brieling coalition is throwing your vote away. Everybody over 3 years seniority knows what Lynn's all about, and she can't win. If she does manage to pull it off, when she fails at her promises and gets recalled in 90 days, there will be a smoking hole where our union used to be.

Folks, this is 100% supported by management. They want to destabilize the union at the most critical time. If this coalition gets in there, I promise you that every committee chairman and member will resign, including the negotiating committee. It will effectively shut down the union during negotiations. Don't do it!

And I said smoking hole, not smoking pole, ASA Driver. Just in case you got too excited.

you guys are not bright - i dont want to be displaced or bid off the 700, im quite happy - i just think when some more senior pilots agree to bid off it to keep someone more junior from being kicked is not a bad thing - but since it wasnt our mighty unions idea i understand you not seeing this. look up lemming....

the company asked the union for permission after being asked - what else are they supposed to do? hope you guys have fun ridding off into the sunset with newenhouser and crowd - hope mr worth buys your lunch.

It's funny to watch people as yourself complain behind a name on this forum but you won't go into the crew lounge and do it.

Grow up and take your licks as of the likes of the former DFW and SLC pilots have.

I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion that "you guys are not bright." Do you really not see how if a guy who is #50-ish in the company goes back to a less senior a/c it pushes the majority of the list on said a/c down? Whereas, if some buffoon who bids a larger a/c just so he can pretend he's got more in his pants, but can't really hold anything on it gets bumped back it disrupts relatively little of the less senior a/c's list. Does this not make sense to you? How do you not get that?

Well lookie here... Einstien himself has spoken!

This crjskipper person has GOT to be chief pilot.

There is currently a coalition of 4 pilots that are considering running as a team. They are still in the discussion phase and all the names are not final. They are proposing a platform that would promise either a TA or a release within 90 days of taking office. If this isn't achieved, they will resign. This TA would include hourly payraises for everyone. Trip and duty rigs, Per diem increase, Scheduling/QOL improvements, 401K improvements, Sick time improvements, and most important job security including the halt of aircraft transfers. Job security will be priority number one. To answer your questions, no I am not one of the 4.

If you want more information, PM me.

The alternative of starting over at the bottom on another seniority list in another city for 20-30 thousand is worse than accepting the concessions. The ability to make lateral moves like EVERY OTHER PROFESSION would curb this behavior and help people draw that mythical line in the sand everyone talks about.

I'll bet WAY more than 50% of our pilots will pursue careers outside of flying should ASA fold. I know I will. Can you? Can Lynn?

Let's hear the truth. What has management promised you two in exchange for this coup attempt? You know darn well this contract can't be settled in 90 days without caving. Management won't deal with our union... or will they, as long as it's someone they can control? And the promises you made in her campaign letter... 5 of them are already TA'd by the current MEC!

So let's get it in the open. What are you two trying to pull? You have ZERO credibility with this pilot group. Hell, you wouldn't even do the LEC Sec/Trez job. Tell us why we should vote for you again... because we all know a vote for the coalition is a vote for you. Lynn would never leave you out.

... because we all know a vote for the coalition is a vote for you. Lynn would never leave you out.

Actually, I disagree. I think Lynn would stick a stiletto heel in JB's back in a heartbeat if she saw it in her best interest. JB never has been able to see that he's a lackey at best, and a b!tch at worst.

However, having said that, even without JB in the picture, it would be a cold day in hell before I let LJ represent me.

If this coalition gets elected, I wouldn't be surprised if you see ALPA volunteers walk off the job en masse. Let's see how well they manage the MEC for their 90 days with no volunteer support.

That is unless, of course, Scott Hall feels like manning the ALPA office on his off days....

I agree. Lynn would sell John out in a heartbeat if she could get ahead by it. It amazing he too much under her spell to see that. He could do so much better.

I GUARANTEE the ALPA volunteers will quit. I know most of them! It will take Lynn 90 days just to form a new CNC and get it up to speed. Oh, and we'll have to assess the members because National will cut off financial support for negotiations too. You see, National doesn't like to see their money go to waste.

I have no doubt that Scott will be in the union office. He'll probably have a key to the file cabinets under the Jackson-Breiling regime. Think of all the money ALPA will save. No more contract, no more grievances, no more negoaiations. Just a big love fest with management in the former union offices every day.

Your wrong about this one.

Her goal is to put JB on the CNC and she will be on it also. She tried this before and the best that could be done is JB in the back room.

Look at history for the future.
