As an aside, I recently saw a statement (and I think a chart) showing that AA is going to increase the amount of off-the-street, civilian-only hiring in 2020. Now, of course, I can't remember where I saw it but I think it came from an internal AA memo. Would you happen to have that info ?

Thanks for the chart. Yes, it's all a moot point now. It's gotten crazy.
 
A large chunk of the old air traffic controllers have retired in the last 10 years. How about we use that as THE reason why aviation has been safer in the last five years
 
It's been a year since you asked so a lot might have changed. You might look at the airline profiles on APC buy I'm not sure how current they keep that data:
