6 months?

Three years ago our company would call the next day offering the job. Now I have heard that it takes up to three weeks. But 6 months? It sounds like you may have fallen though the cracks. I would call, or fire off a nice email to see what's going on. I have heard guys getting the job and then waiting several months for a plane they want, but they were offered the job first. So, as I said, try contacting them.

are you waiting for an interview or for a job offer.. if you are waiting for an interview it could be even longer.. if you are waiting for a job offer.. you probably did not get the job and the letter got lost in the mail

Still waiting

6 months and counting...

7 Months...1 internal recommendation, 4000 total, tons of 121 PIC, Check Airman, etc.

Derinda has updated my resume for me personally, so I know I haven't "fallen through the cracks". I can only guess I'm just not what they want at this very moment and I'll have to wait.

It is hard to stomach it, though, when I hear guys on here with similar quailifications get called weeks after applying.

I won't stop trying, though. NetJets is where I want to be!

Nothing personal, but I would say this is the reason:

A320, 767,757,737,DC9,EMB110,SD360

You retired?

AC11, C152, C172, C177, C182, C210, C340, CE680, P28A, P28B, P28R, PA31, PA34, BE10, BE36, BE58, BE76, BE9L, B350, LR31, LR45

I guess you aren't?

If he is/isn't... who cares!

I personally LOVE flying with the retired guys. TONS of stories and I don't even care if they're true!

To clarify - waiting for an interview call.

Not retired, not even 50. From what I've read and heard, the anti-airline bias that permeates so much of Part 91/135 flying doesn't exist at NetJets. Perhaps I'm wrong, maybe they're looking more for people with corporate/charter experience?

HECK NO! There are PLENTY ex-121 guys here. Like me.

What really matters is, how are your stories man!! Do you have good ones!

Seriously, all types are hired here. Every category.

Each background brings certain strengths and weaknesses to NetJets. It's up to the training dept to smooth those weaknesses out.

It's not an anti-121 thing. It's an anti-retired 121 thing. The company, training department, recruiting, and pilot group aren't too fond of this type. Again, nothing personal but your predecessors did a pretty good job of giving the rest of your type a bad name. I was told by the training department that some 75% of retired 121 guys "just weren't working out".

Don't shoot the messenger.
