That's mine as well! Yes, the Captain makes the decision as to whether you ride or not, but it just might be the FO's leg. Have some courtesy.

drives me nuts too. rude...totally rude. I usually go out of the way to make sure the guy/girl does, and then make sure he digs out all of his liscense and medical, and do the "club" id test on the guy.

Yeap. We are part of the crew. When I go to ask for a jumpseat I shake the hands of both crew memebers and Thank both of them for the ride. I usally speak to the FA as well. (Some Capts ask me to check in with the FA and let her know where I'm sitting)

I can't believe you are dissin' Natalie Portman in Garden State. Yeah, the character was oer the top, but she *made* that movie with her annoying babble. Without the contrast between her and Zach Braff, it would have just been another crappy indie film.

To get back on track:
-Controllers that try to correct you by saying "tree" when you say "three".

-Being charged the pound-in-the-ass ramp fee at any Signature when all the rampers are smoking cigarettes standing by the fuel truck 50 yards away, watching you park, chock, and unload passengers yourself.

-Passengers that paid $150 to fly round trip halfway across the country that complain about being forced to fly in "that puddle jumper" CR7.

• People who are too f-in lazy to get out of their air conditioned cockpit to ask the ramp to remove the GPU or air cart. So they call OPS and bitch instead. Seriously, most of the rampers know english, and will appreciate you talking to them like a person.

It's kinda funny that all these post are CA's bashing FO's. Trust us... You guys can get on our nerves too! I think that you guys were all FO's at one point in time. We are learning!!! Thats why were are FO's.

Here's mine lately...

The entire aviation community being required to spend millions (if not billions) to comply with RVSM and we still can never get direct anywhere...

This one drives me nuts, especially since we're in a Lear 31A and can climb to any altitude within RVSM airspace all year around AND most times easily climb above it... I haven't seen where this is any great improvement...

Oh Yeah when you ask ops for things, anything whether its 1 wheel chair or a laundry list of stuff and all you get back is "Copy" which really just sounds like a bird chirping into the radio.
