I don't know if its just me, but I think some things can get annoying at times.

1. Crew members who are "hat nazi's"

2. Crew members who think they are chuck yeager that just started flying 2 years ago.

3. An FO with extemely low time that thinks they should be captain.

These are some of mine. I hope I don't sound like a "Dooshbag", just venting!

Put on your hat, step aside and let me fly. I should be captain by now anyways.

You must be flying with Riddle dorks!

A captain that never lets the FO fly, even the empty legs.

Cheap a$$ operators that don't want to send crewmembers to appropriate training.

Here's mine

Hearing a regional pilot tell people they are a Captain/FO for [Delta/American, Continental/USAirways] and forgot to include Connection, Eagle or Express.

Type "A" pilots who are always pestering ATC for shortcuts.

FOs who are still in "single pilot" mode, and try to make decisions unilaterally.

(See above) FOs who call the airport/traffic in sight when I am flying, and I don't have the airport/traffic in sight.

FOs who want to play "IOE Instructor", and constantly question/criticize me regarding technique issues. Hint: If I'm violating anything, or doing something unsafe, PLEASE tell me. Otherwise, just let me fly. I'll promise I'll give you the same consideration. When I was an FO, I got so tired of flying with micromanager captains, I vowed never to become one. Now, to me, the only thing worse than a micromanaging captain is a micromanaging FO!

My motto: RELAX, and let's try to work as a crew.

LAXSaabdude.

4) Airlines that can't afford to give raises...
5) Airlines that build lines requiring senior
CA's to sit reserve...
6) Hat nazies...oops, that one is taken...
sniveling little 23 year old CA's that think
they are God's gift to aviation...and make us
greaybeards and all other Captains embarassed
that somehow he is one of us...
6) Political correctness...
(what an oxymoron!)...
7) Thunderstorms...especially the ones that
interupt my commute home...
8) Schools that turn out idiots that ought to
have their drivers license revoked, let alone
fly a commercial aircraft...
9) Management...
10) Unions...
11) Low air fares that make non-reving dang
near impossible...
12) Being paid so little that even if I could
get my family on an airplane (see above)
I can't afford to take them anywhere...
13) Lawers...

Next!

hehehe, that felt good!

22-year-old FOs who don't wanna brief the release, the takeoff, or the approach becase it takes away from reading the Maxim/talking to their girlfriend on the phone. "Hey baby, I'm calling you from the airplane, aren't I a stud?" ;)

Guys who don't fly profiles because it's not cool or they don't know them. (Pushing the nose over at 500 agl to speed up to 250 when we just blasted off from a class C or D. Or climbing a 47K pound airplane at 305 knots/600 fpm when we took off with 500 pounds over min. fuel and we're heading into shitty weather).

Guys who try to run a checklist from memory, fcuk it up, and then get pissed when you correct them.

And lastly, crotchety old 28-year-old bastards who give a crap enough to be posting this in the middle of their days off ;)

How bout struggling for flight hours cleaning airplanes and dealing with your never satisfied lesbian boss so that I can get to the point where im a hotshit FO who can talk to his girlfriend while at 32K.

Smelly lavs.

10th day broken APU's.

Buxom FA's who will flash the FO, but not me :(

Stand up overnights.

Mesa!!!!

For all you prop drivers..............how about the FO that has not figured out how to sync the props. I dread it when I sync them and they adjust it after I just synced it. Maybe I just need a vacation. Sorry to all my FO's for freaking out over that f#%king annoying sh!t they do with the props.

  • Forgetting sunscreen on your legs when you surf for over three hours.
  • Sand in your ear. Put your finger in there to get it out, it just goes deeper. Q-tip, same thing. Shaking it out doesn't work. So chicks think you have bugs.
  • People who think it's uncool to fly by the book.
  • People who are too f-in lazy to get out of their air conditioned cockpit to ask the ramp to remove the GPU or air cart. So they call OPS and bitch instead. Seriously, most of the rampers know english, and will appreciate you talking to them like a person.
  • A sh*tty tapper on a good keg of beer, thereby causing every run to come out foamy with half being head.
  • Pilots who think they are cool while drinking Michelob Ultra and smoking Marlboro Ultra Lights. "I'm the Marlboro man!" Yeah, if the Marlboro man suddenly decided to start packing mud.
  • Civilian pilots who say "No Joy" or "Tally Ho." Ok boss, you fly an RJ.
  • Terrorists.
  • Natalie Portman in Garden State. Cute, but strangely annoying.
  • Pilots who can tell you everything about company politics, to the minute details, but don't know about the biggest news stories... like the bombings in London or my record-breaking beer fart.
  • 33 hour layover in a Mexican beach-front resort. "So, downstairs in 15 minutes? Applebees?"

Jumpseaters who don't introduce themselves to the F/O.

That's mine as well! Yes, the Captain makes the decision as to whether you ride or not, but it just might be the FO's leg. Have some courtesy.

Rampers, Ticket agents, Hotel personal etc. that thing all pilots are snobs and treat us as so.

Man, When is STL going to get rid of the Thuged out Rrampers.

Pilots who know exactly what they're signing up for: Pay, Schedule, QOL, etc. and then complain about it 6 months later.
