Just checking to see if anyone has gotten invited to interview in the past couple of weeks? It seems it started to pick back up, then I haven't seen much in the last week or so.

I got the wait email on 3/3 and have been patiently waiting. If I remember correctly, guys who got the wait email in early Feb. have gotten the invite to interview.

Thanks in advance.

It's probably going to depend on what you put as your domicile preference. My wait email was in early Feb, and I interviewed in mid April.....but then, I wanted LAX.

Hang in there.

Yeah I am looking for Columbus. Hopefully they will be looking to hire some into there soon.

Thanks and good luck with training!

I put CMH as my first preference, then DAL. I'm still waiting. I have a reference from one NJA captain and another who will provide a reference once I get the interview.

My F/O from my last trip has an interview this month. His app was submitted in early February.

Fly safe!

I got the email today to schedule a June interview. The message emphasized hiring only for CMH and LAX.

It also said "hiring for May training..." If only that could be true!

Fly safe!

Same here Slim. Got the email today...same one you did. They processed my application on 4/10...so it took a month for them to process it and a month from then to offer interview dates that are a month from the day they offered them. Hope that gives others some idea of how long the process is taking. Overnighted app on 3/9, got process/wait email 4/10, and interview date email 5/8 with first open date for inteview being 6/6. Good luck everybody and hey Slim, maybe we'll meet in CMH!

I got the wait mail in early Feb and am still waiting for the interview. I have DAL as my only choice. Emailed Derinda last week and she said that they are just waiting for some DAL positions to be opened so that they can call us in for them.

anybody else that works at NJ find it funny they are waiting for a DAL spot to open just to have scheduling airline a DAL pilot to TEB to meet up with a LAX pilot to pick up a plane.

For those of you that don't work here yet. You are truely seeing that the left hand has no idea that the right hand even exists.

Fifedoms at its best.

Maybe, maybe not.

The last contract passed because it offered the most benefit to the largest pilot demographic - Captains with 5 years or so seniority.

Five to seven years from now, who will be the biggest group? I'd say all those pilots stuck with the domicle system. And what will the company offer that group at minimal cost to the company? Hmmmm....

Got the email yesterday for 6/7-6/8 interview dates! They had a total of 7 different interview dates, 2 per week for first 3 weeks and 1 date for last week of June.

I got the wait email on 3/3. As Slim said they are hiring into CMH and LAX currently for July class dates.

Good Luck to everyone!

I got the waitmail on 2/10 and have been waiting ever since. I put PBI down as my domicile choice, I guess they are not hiring into that base right now.

Starhustler, I'm in exactly the same boat. (Same waitmail date, same domicile preference.)

I'm ready!

Wait email received March 3, just got email offering June interview dates. Anyone else going on the 13/14th? I put CMH and DAL as my preferences.

I got the wait e-mail Feb 10th with DAL as my choice. My letter of rec. said that there might be some DAL posistions with an AUG start date. It all depends where you are on the list for DAL. Best of Luck.

Oh, there is movement alright!

Hey guys, I just got back from CMH after a looooong day of interviewing. I am pretty impressed with how right on most of the gouge has been, especially from aviationinterviews.com. I feel pretty good about it, but I guess a few others have too and got the "no thanks" call...

About the future, Derinda said they plan on hiring another 200-250 this year (20 or so a week until they get to that point if the training dept. can handle it). The June 19th class date will be for the LAX domicile in the sovereign(sp) and CMH in the X. I am rooting for the X of course. She also said to expect no less than three years until upgrade at the earliest, and that depends on which fleet you are in. There will also be a July class date, but I can't remember the exact date, or the types available for that one. Wish me luck, and PM me if anyone has any specific questions.

Just to clarify for the benefit of the many people who are looking to join us, it doesnt matter what fleet you are in for your upgrade. If they hire you into the X you can still bid a Ultra PIC spot as long as your 2 year seatlock has passed. Now that being said for those of you hired now you might actually be able to bid into another fleet at 2 years because you likely wont see the left seat before 4.

Actually, Twotter my good friend, I don't believe that's true. You yourself could get awarded a X pic slot right now if your seniority could hold it. My understanding is that the company can never hold you from a higher paying position. The 2 year equipment lock only applies if you are looking to move into another aircraft that would pay the same for your years of service.

Twotter - that's not correct. Seat locks cannot restrict a new-hire from bidding and being awarded their first captain position, regardless of fleet. That's contained in section 5.3(a)(i) in the contract.

But I think your guestimate of 4 years to upgrade is pretty reasonable. Any 2-year seatlock will expire before a new-hire could hold a captain slot, so in some ways, this an academic discussion.

OK I retract my previous statement - not sure what I was thinking there. I guess the point I was trying to make was that it doesnt matter what type you are hired into as it likely isnt what you will upgrade in unless you are hired in a cat. 1 or 2 aircraft.

Hey guys, just got the call from Linda a little while ago. I accepted a July 10th class in the Excel at CMH. Pretty excited to be joining a great company. For anyone who has an interview coming up-good luck.

What happened to rooting for the X? I know, get in asap right? Congrats and welcome aboard.

Well, Derinda told us that the X would be the only thing available in CMH for a June 19th class, but by the time they got to me, I guess those slots were all full. I took the first available slot for CMH which happened to be the Excel. I'm a little bummed to have been pushed back a month, but happy to be a future NJAer!

I've never been able to determine how they decide who goes where/when for what A/C. I was offered on 1/06 a 2/20 class in the Excel out of CMH. I'd been flying the DA2000 and the CE-560, typed on both. I was given no options. Others I'd interviewed with and were called later in the day, were given choices of A/C (including the DA2000 ), and earlier class dates.
I AM NOT COMPLAINING! I LOVE NJA!

plus you get another type. :)
