A class of 10 or 12 for the -400, start on April 26th, more to come. Maybe, even a newhire class for the "Classic", in early Summer.

Anybody at Atlas know what kind of conversion factor they apply to military time? Also, are they pretty firm with the 3500 TT and 1000 PIC turbine requirements posted on their website? Im sitting at about 2500 TT and 600 PIC jet...I guess it wouldn't hurt to apply

I hear 5 got a call from Atlas for a may 26 class.Evergreen will lose 10-12 before this is over, maybe more. 747-200/400 time will get you a interview.

Don't think there is a conversion factor per se but I have seen flexibility with the military guys.

April 26 and May 17.

Hi!

Like the guy said...1000 jet turbine PIC. Also a jun class planned. I think the conversion factor was 1.3. I think it is a fantastic job.

Looks like Atlas dropped the 1000 turbine PIC. This is the first hiring with the new regime.

The rumor is that the VP of Ops was not happy with the overall results of the interviews. Not knocking the interviewees, just the process they and others went thru and the quals of the final result. It was run by bean counters/HR types and he is an ops kind of guy. The Ops people got the remaining resumes after a lot of filtering, maybe that will change.

As many have pointed out here and elsewhere, 1000 turbine PIC eliminated a lot of good and experienced people. There are typed folks out there with a few thousands hours in the classic and -400 that don't have the 1000 PIC. Maybe it was worth a shot, with the market like it is, but and the results may not have been what they wanted.

I'm surprised the window is still open. Good luck!

Hi!

There were a LOT of VERY high time, and very experienced guys in the interview groups. LOTS from ATA. I HIGHLY recommend Atlas! Currency did not matter.

You are dead on about Very high time getting hired today. Just got out of class with a similar operation and everbody in the the had LOTS of heavy iron time. The best part No regional guys are getting hired.

Talking to one of the newhires, two are from Evergreen, neither on the LCF, three former ATA, one just out of the USAF, and one retread, returning after a two year break for family. The class is nine and a new instructor will be joining them on Monday.

jut sent in the resume via online......any info on the next step if the extend the offer for an interview?

call, mail, or send you and email ?

Hi!

I was turned down...about the lowest time guy there. Bummer as I thought Atlas a great career job.

It is fantistic at Atlas, IF you are OK with 21 (or even more) days on in a row. If you want 4/3, don't apply at Atlas.

Cliff, I'm sorry they didn't get a good pilot with you.

I don't know you from "Tom", but I've been reading your post from pre 9-11, back when you were hired at TSA and I truly believe you to be an honorable man.

I know you'll find that elusive "dream job"...

Hi!
I am definitely bummed, but I will just keep trying. JetBlue opens hiring tmo. I am trying to get a US job but will probably go back to Togo on tue for 6 mos more in Africa and then see what hiring is like when I return.
I feel like getting an interview w/ Delta and Atlas were definitely the high points in my career so far...lots of guys don't even get one interview of that caliber.
