I have been using glass since I stepped out of the FK-28 in 2000.....I really miss the ol' LR-35....the Porsche of flying. There is just something about shooting an approach and nailing crossing restrictions and configuring the aircraft to be at the FAF with 10 seconds to spare after the "Langing Check" is complete without having the aid of the "bananna" to tell you when/where you will be level....I wonder if I could do it now?
I fly 35's and 55's, all steam. I just finished 850xpSchool and I looked like an idiot. Too much information being blasted to my noggin. The instructor kept yelling at me because I was continually hand flying.
