Just saw this bit of news - it is a huge order if it comes to fruition. Probably won't completely given its size. I realize VistaJet is not a fractional, but the competition could impact the jetcard business at Netjets/NJE and potentially Flexjet (still flies to Europe I believe in the Challengers). VistaJet is trying to compete on the high-end of charter/jet card business in places that Netjets/Netjets Europe wants to compete - especially Russia and China.

Ordering the same types of planes as Netjets (Globals) might make it more difficult to differentiate products - pricing then becomes an issue. When you can't differentiate the product, price becomes the focus. Too bad Netjets didn't order the G650 to futher differentiate itself in the jetcard market as the fractional market contracts. :crying:

I actually spoke with one of VistaJet's Global crews a few weeks back at TEB. Very nice guys from Austria and the UK. They claimed pay was crap but they enjoyed the flying... Sounds like big competition for Netjets and other worldwide players if VistaJet can implement their plans (difficult to do).

With all of the failing airlines in Europe they will have no problem finding capable pilots. Those are some NICE airplanes!

Vista Jet orders 50 Global Express, they're an European company but most of those Globals are destined for the Mid East and Asia. Few of those birds are for their European division

Read an article of aviation-international news, Their CEO has been talking about China and the Middle East for a while

Honestly, the biggest threat to the fractional industry are these highly funded charter companies. Just like XO now, these places have tons of cash from investors and they can make huge orders like NJ and get discounted prices. Then they turn around and charter their jets out at huge discounts over what you would pay for hourly card service at a fractional. The client gets to fly in a shiny new plane, at a discount price, and doesn't have to worry about depreciation of an asset. And since the organization has so many planes they can even compete with large fractionals with quick availability and recovery time.

Most wealthy people care for their safety and will pay accordingly.

I think you mentioned previously that you operate out of the Middle East. Do you see much of VistaJet and their Globals there? Are they becoming more of a presence?
