American 80's grounded?

I just saw one leaving FLL 2 hours ago, an American SUPER 80 that is.

I think it was because once the oversight was first found, people ignored it and kept on flying. That is a little different...

What do you base this on? It's been my understanding that once the oversight was found, SWA immediately notified Boeing and the Feds. Boeing said get 'em all inspected within ten days (SWA did it in eight), and the FAA at the time said sounds good to me.

I see, southworst gets 10 days and doesn't have to cancel any flights but AA has to cancel nearly 400 flights? Whats that all about? My dream is to live long enough to see that outfit go out of business!

Yep, I guess all those pizza & beer parties we've been quietly hosting for Boeing engineers all these years really helped bail us out of this jam.

BTW, if that's your dream, you really need to get a life.
