You see, I am in favor of the EC interfering with this award that way when the 1900 DFR law suits are filed and ALPA goes bankrupt that will mark the end of corrupt unions. Every pilot for themselves just like sports figures. We can negotiate our own salaries and benefit packages. Prater's days are marked so start counting.

At most the integration might be tweaked a little. Both sides agree to slightly higher fences and maybe a 3/1 bid on wide bodied flying for a few years. This will be done just to create the impression that the east has won something. ALPA national will not void an arbitrators decision when both sides agreed to binding arbitration. At the end of the day the east will go along with the integration and move on. They didn't take draconian concessions and loss of their pensions just to lose it all over a ratio list integration.

We won't even do that!! The time to negotiate a deal was over a year ago. They refused and now since it has not gone DOH then they want to hijack the west pilot group. Well a resolution was put forth and passed to do no deals that in any way alter the list. No fences or anything else will be put in place. The east stands to gain the most from a joint contract collecting the lion's share of the economics in a new contract.

Now ALPA will either do as outlined in section 45 of the alpa merger policy and defend this binding and final award or be served 1900 DFR lawsuits!! They have no grounds to stand on or even ask. "It's a sad day for ALPA, as we will be forced to bring to an end after over 75 years of service this fine institution". There's the real heat JT!! Can you feel it?? We all will if section 45 is not followed...

Just curious here, from an outsider......If nobody from out west wants to go east, then why not make the fences higher? If none of you cactus girls has any desire to fly east eqp/routes, then higher fences won't matter!

EXACTLY...and they were both below industry average...

Ok I will grant you that however lets look at two things. First AWA was only 23 when it got contract 04 and the reason that contract had major issues was due to the ATSB constraints. Now nine years prior to that AWA had negotiating it's first contract (95) while again in a sea of sharks (the big airlines) they were eaten alive. The airline managend to survive and today we are working on a much better contract.

The revenue that fills you with pride exists because 2 trips through bankruptcy resulted in miserable pay rates and work rules...these new rules essentially offer your services so inexpensively that even Duig Parkweiser and team can run a profitable airline on your backs.

The civil war path will lead to failure. Pretty simple. Unfortunately, that seems to be the path many are choosing.

I bet the company brass are breathing a sigh of relief that we're focusing our anger on each other instead of becoming more united and resolute in our fight for a contract that we all deserve - now they can make some more of that easy revenue that you're so proud of.

It is very disappointing that the east is behaving in such a manner. Shouldn't surprise me. The east will destroy US Airways because they weren't granted the windfall they expected from their previously-experienced arbitrator - they will not be able to carpetbag out west and take all the upgrades in PHX and LAS. Unfortunately, they will take a lot of innocents with them (nothing new there).
