I have buddys at Airlink who hope we do get the 70 seaters and will be able to take advantage of any future growth opportunities, so they'll be able to get hired by NW when we start hiring. You on the other hand, can only blame others for your own failure to succeed in this business.
Last I checked, XJ and PCL weren't furloughing pilots...so where's the blame? However, they can blame you for stopping their growth! You must not have very many "buddys" at Airlink seeing as you guys just gave it to them in the *ss.

FYI - I do have a 4 year degree, flew checks and cargo before I came over to Mesaba, I also paid my way thru school by flight instructing and waiting on tables. I've also got a 737 type. I think I've "paid my dues". I am not looking for any handouts or backdoors. What gets me going is that during our last contract, our MEC and YOURS pushed the "Brand scope"/red-tail family propoganda pretty hard. Your MEC chair even drafted a resolution claiming that we were ALL a family and that the red-tail flying should be done by either NWA, MSA, or PCL. So, he's either a LIAR or a backstabber. Pick one. I really don't care, and I never believed anything McClain ever said. Your company is a culture of bile and negativity from Anderson on down. If the company strategy is to pit employee groups against one another, then fine - I don't want a part of it. Just dont bring it over here. Unfortunately, there are those that were elected on our MEC that are in awe of your culture. Don't worry, they'll get theirs and so will you. It's ironic that Duane Woerthless is a NWA pilot. **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**, we get the best of both worlds - the sewage of NWA culture, and the shameful leadership of Woerthless and ALPO.

You mentioned I am on the bottom and **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** rolls downhill. Cool - it goes both ways. So, next time a NWA pilot wants my jumpseat = DENIED. I hope it's Christmas Eve when it happens. Enjoy those concessions - and welcome to the cesspool.

I think you should look in the mirror and ask yourself the same thing, buddy.

Man Avro,

What you seem to get is that you are a pilot that is outsourcing NWA mainline's work. Like I said earlier, when you get 900 pilots on the street, we can talk this nonsense. I found it repulsive that a company that has to resort to pay concessions has the money to buy 100 CRJs.....

Wake up man, you work for a regional. Now you are pissed that your company isn't growing.... Unbelievable...

Hey furloughed dude,

You wanna stop the whorish behavior of company management and the pilots that are employed there? Say NO to the concessions? But guess what? It won't happen. Pilots talk big about solidarity, being unified, and all that crap, but when it comes down to the vote, they become a quivering mass, hands shaking as they vote for another round of concessions. It doesn't matter if you fly at mainline or a regional. So, you can take your condescending mainline vs regional garbage and stick it. This is what has gotten us ALL into the cesspool to begin with. Enjoy it, they'll hit us with another round down the road. Who's fault will it be then?

Avrodriver85

Hey you coward why dont you get on a real board(Alpa). If you have such a big problem with your reps (if you are really a pilot why dont you engage your reps, and tell them your concerns instead of sitting behind a computer and critizing the very people that give up so much of their personal time to improve your life) How do we know that you are even an Alpa member let alone a Mesaba pilot. For all we know you are Spanjers, Jon Ornstein. I Pedro a mesaba pilot and hard working alpa member would like to challenge you to get on a real web board and stop being a chiken sh#t. So Avrodriver85 who are u?

Clarification

Hi all,
Some people have assumed that because of the similarity of my e-mail address, [email protected], and the user name avrodriverj85 that we are one in the same. I just want to let anyone who cares know we are not related in any way shape or form.

When I disagree with Tom Wychor or anyone else I let them know to their face. Hell, that's half the fun of it.

I don't frequent this board and have no plans to check them again so don't leave me a response here, just yell at me in the crew room.

Take care,

Jim Turner
Mesaba

Hey PML = Pedro Leroux

Yeah you, you little punk. You are part of the problem. If anyone cares to know, Pedro is a two-faced LEC rep that says one thing to the pilot group and does another when no one is around. He's a kool-aid drinking, ALPA wannabe. Cut from the same cloth as Wychor and Pierson.

Why am I on this board? To share with the rest of the pilot groups at other airlines, what weak and corrupted representation we have here at XJ. So, tell me Pedro what have you done for the pilot group?

Can you explain why the LEC draft for MEMRAT/NW70 was unanimously approved by the LEC's, only to be shot down by our MEC at the BOD meeting last month?

I can. Wychor, our MEC Chair knew that the NWA TA was coming out in a few weeks and didnt want to get in trouble with Daddy Duane, so he squashed it.

If you've forgotten, YOU work for US, it's NOT the other way around.

Care to add your spin?

Lol

Why don’t you say who you are?

How many times have you called your reps?

I would be happy to engage you face to face in the crew room about your concerns. You stated earlier that you didn’t know the rest of the MEC, just the people up north... You seem to know me.

Again for all we know you are someone in mngt trying to stir up the pilots. So your options are engage your reps face to face, call them. In fact you seem to know someone that was at the MEC meeting. Why the hell didn’t they at least try to go trough the motions to recall the MEC officers?

What have I done for the pilots? Why don’t you go to the crew room, and ask them?

I am a mesaba pilot, and I am looking out for the best interest of our pilot group. What incentive do you think I have not to represent our pilots?

And again as a mesaba pilot you are entitled to know why your reps voted the way they did? All you have to do is again engage them 1) Phone 2)crew room 3) MEC meeting. Have you done any of that?

What have you done for the pilots, instead of sitting here and talking sh#t why dont you get involved in your Union it is your Union. Thats what I did. and for the love of god, atleast get some credibility and sign your name to your post.

Pedro

Blah, blah, blah blah blah. Typical ALPA rhetoric. Note that Pepe never answered my question about the MEMRAT resolution that was brought to the MEC for a vote. His answer? Get involved with the union.

Pepe, just keep in mind a grassroots effort to recall this MEC is underway. Call MSP and sound the alarm. Enjoy the schmoozing and cocktails with your ALPA buddies, because your days are numbered.

Pedro -

I don't want to jump into the middle of this pissing contest but I do have a few thoughts for you.

Why don't more XJ pilots speak up on the message boards? Two reasons. One is that usually we don't get much of a response. Everyone who has posted on the ALPA board about MEMRAT for NWA70 has pretty much been ignored. Two, when people do question the union's stance all they get is a smart @ssed response from Marut that says "Your union is not your enemy. Get a clue."

My problem is that everytime I have approached a union member with my concerns (and they are not crazy, I assure you) all I get is excuses why we have to tow the line with national. I feel we can never make our own decisions without consulting national. That would be great if I thought for a minute that ALPA national had our back, but they have proved that by their actions, they don't.

I agree with you that too many people criticize the union without getting involved or trying to talk to their reps. But Pedro, I can honestly tell you that as a person involved with the union (granted to small degree) and one who talks to my reps, I don't think we are doing what we need to. If we don't stand up for ourselves we are going to get trampled by NWA.

I think Mr. Wychor needs to distance himself from Virginia and start protecting the interests of Mesaba pilots.

Respectfully,

Mel

Sharples,

Very well said.

Like you, I HAVE approached my reps and have called Wychor MANY times over the years regarding questions, problems, concerns. I have also received the cold shoulder and gotten the canned answer, "Hey we're volunteers, do you know we are sacrificing our personal lives for this", or "Get involved", and they never answer the question. Well, we ALL got involved during the negotiations and for those Mesaba pilots that remember, you might recall the times where reps like Marut, Pierson, and Peecher would scream at you during pizza meetings when you asked questions like "What are we asking for in the contract? or Where does NWA play into all of this? We did the same back in 97' during those contract talks to.

It appears if you dont agree with the ALPA National agenda, you are on the outside and labeled a troublemaker. The canned answer out of Wychors pie-hole was always "Mark McClain and the NWA pilots have our back, we have to support them at all costs". Well, they shoved that knife in our back all right, and the letter Wychor put out to the pilots a few weeks ago, proves he's marching in lockstep to the ALPA National agenda and is still Duanes little boy.

He can preach all he wants to us about bi-lateral scope, brand bargaining, NWA red-tails, and whatever Woerthless tells him to say; but all in all Tom Wychor is a gutless leader and a LIAR, and is only looking out for his political career at ALPA and not the pilot group he was elected to represent.

I think I've wasted enough steam on this issue.

You are famous!!!

This was on the NWA alpa message board. I had to come here to see if it was real!!! Wow "denied jump seat" and "enjoy your concessions" Some one
needs to switch to decaf...
You should be happy that most people that read it were pissed and want to take it out on your group. Great job you should be proud.
