your dues are calculated based upon income,
your dues calculated pre 401k, across the entire membership
So now all dues are calculated the same way.

Prior to the change,
Dues calculated for some, after 401k dollars are removed.
Other calculated prior to 401k dollars being removed.

ALPA Lied again, they claimed dues are going down, when in fact for many of us with a 401k and no pension it is going up significantly. I look forward to the day that ALPA and it's propaganda machine closes it's doors. In house unions are the future, too much conflict of interest in this national union machine.

What is your definition of significant? What dollar amount? Just curious.

Almost 2% of my 401k contributions will now be taxed by ALPA, that's significantly higher than I pay now, even with the joke 0.05% reduction.

Have you seen Spirit's concessionary contract that we struck for? Our payrates are so far behind everyone else that that 2% makes a difference. My point was that ALPA lied claiming to reduce dues when in fact they are going up.

My dues are going down and we are now both paying the same effective dues rate.

OTOH, a lesser percentage of my dues comes back to my MEC than yours, a greater percentage of my dues goes to support the ALPA resources your MEC utilizes. I'm o.k. with that because I believe in supporting the efforts of the smaller pilot groups to get a better contract.
