Do most of the new hires go to Vegas or FL? I've sent resumes many times, but never heard anything back, but if I was to hear something I'd only be interested in the Vegas base. Thanks.

About half of the August, and almost all of the September class, got based in Vegas.

Our company manual says First Officers shall have the minimum requirements:
3000 total time and jet/PIC time preferred.

I had just about 3400 total, 2000 jet, and 0 PIC turbine. My only PIC was about 600 hours composed of flight instruction and just solo/training time.

Getting the call

I didn't even know who Allegiant was until my wife and I took a vacation in Vegas. We saw them taxi by in the airport and I did a search on them. I sent them a resume and two weeks later I got a call. I had about 5000 TT and 1700 PIC Turbine. Almost zero jet. I came from the regionals. I have been here exactly a year and I should upgrade in two to four months.

Did someone on the inside work your stuff or did you just send your app. in?
