Anyway, I think he (PCL_128) has some experience getting guys unionized,

 The most idiotic post in this thread. PCL_128 was responsible for the first failure of the ALPA vote at Colgan due to the crap he was spouting on this board pushing away the fence-sitters. One of the main reasons that the vote succeeded the second time round was that he and his cronies were asked to keep their posts on the Colgan threads to a minimum.

Mr. Gallagher repeatedly and bluntly suggested that AAPAG was being greedy in believing it should be better compensated
If this statement is true...sounds like Gallagher is cut from the same cloth as Orenstein. As Orenstein has shown, one can only float the company on the backs of the employees for so long before the lack of Management Skills come to the surface.

Good luck to the AAY pilots.

One meeting,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just one meeting and this has been blown out of proportion. Nobody knows what is or isnt going on. Just lots of ASSumptions.

This is about more than just one meeting. The meeting was a wakeup call and helped solidify the fears that many of us have had for a while now. We have two choices. One, we can heed the warning and take steps to possibly prevent our jobs from going down the toilet. Or two, we can continue on our current path, putting all of our faith in Maury that he will someday hopefully throw us a bone along his quest for 30%+ operating margins. Oh, and MAYBE he won't funnel all of our flying to another pilot group who undercuts our wages (if that's even possible with our payscale!). Please don't play roulette with our well being and with that of our families.

Breathe, be calm................nothing has changed. How about negotiating first before you make your assumptions?

With the organization we have now, there isn't much "negotiating". We go and ask for something, and then end up taking whatever he gives us. While there was a little back and forth during the 2007 talks, we basically had to take whatever was offered.

It was made abundantly clear what MG's views towards this pilot group are. You can whistle past the graveyard all you want, but I'm not comfortable giving him an extra YEAR to "do the right thing".

I understand that everything is speculative and in flux at the moment, but any estimates on when or how soon we might see these birds? Are we talking 2010?
