I thought LGB was slot-restricted? Why enter LGB if you have limited growth opportunities? I suppose LGB is cheaper than LAX in terms of fees.

Allegiant has built a profitable business on "limited growth opportunities," not sure why LGB will be any different. Take a close look at Allegiant's route structure, that is how they have always done it!
 
Hiring has been every September/October for years now. I'd expect that, but have nothing more to base it on.
 
Everything I'm hearing suggests they already hired for the vacancies the 757 bid will create, and recent statements by management indicate little or no growth the rest of the year. Doesn't sound like any more hiring 'till early 2011.

But then again, as late as March they were saying no hiring 'till late this year and all of a sudden they were interviewing for the April class.
 
Rumor is possible small class 6-8 by end of '10..

757 vacancies not yet filled for FO's. As far as I know, they will probably be hiring a minimum of 11 757 FO's in Feb or March.
