What is more disturbing than the O2 canisters is the on going criminal activity at Airtran...

LOWEST FO PAY IN THE INDUSTRY!!!

Low Cust serv pay, low manager pay, low ops pay, low supervisor pay....only Fornaro's been getting rich lately.

Ain't just the pilots that want better wages.

Guppy, were you just not shown enough attention as a child? What's with the hate-fest?

I'm betting on a narrow 1st quarter profit including the asset sale of the 737's plus the record load factors that seem to be posted every month in the 8k's.

I'm betting 2nd quarter results are neutral with heavy travel demand continuing through Spring Break and the first week of peak Summer travel.

I'm also betting that fares come up with the disappearance of some of the providers of leisure travel (ATA, Skybus, Champion) since airTran focuses quite a bit on the leisure traveler and a $10 to $20 fare hike would probably not make or break travel plans.

Thus, I see a brighter 3rd and 4th quarter performance than the company is painting. Could be wrong, I have been before, but I'm betting similar to Whataburger, with a $2.5 to $7.5 Million profit for the year.

Who's running the bets? ;)

Ill run em.... Theres no way AAI will just break even in Q2. Q2 has always been AAI's money maker. If AAI breaks even in Q2 they are really screwed. AAI is going to need a 15-10 Million profit in Q2. Hate to say it guys, but its gonna be a bath in Q1. Fuel prices are twice what they were last year, and AAI only made a $2 million profit for Q1 last year. The load factors are indeed higher, but not nearly enough to offset the rediculous gas prices. It may not be a 24 million loss. But I would say 15-22 is gonna be close (not including the sale of the 737 build slots). F.P. said those slots will save 12 million.... I think everyone's gonna get a huge suprise when Q1 profits start coming out. I think its gonna be bad, very bad.

Ya ya doom boy, back to your ST-71 model

TO ALL TRANNES:

Don't fall for all of this gloom nonsense, management WILL get a raise this year, no matter what the "bad" news is. They will be taking it from YOU!!! Be tougher than before, and for the love of Pete, DON'T LISTEN TO PCL PUKE!

We started negotiations over three years ago. They've just dragged out this long. Not a good time to be in negotiations, but we'll make it work.

Ask your fellow pilots that support George Bush and John McCain. It's their anti-labor NMB that's causing the delay.

In an interview Tuesday, AirTran President and Chief Executive Bob Fornaro drew a sharp contrast between the Orlando, Fla.-based carrier and the airlines that went out of business last week. He said first-quarter revenue rose 6 to 7 percent, and that advance bookings through the third quarter are better than at the same time last year.

"These were very, very weak airlines," Fornaro said, adding the carrier was "absolutely not" expecting to file for bankruptcy. "We're strong in the marketplace, we're well positioned, and we have the lowest cost structure in the industry."

YOU SHOULD NEVER TRUST MGT. BUT I DO LIKE WHAT HE SAYS. AT LEAST OUR REVENUE HAS INCREASED FOR THE QUARTER LET US HOPE IT IS ENOUGH TO OFFSET FUEL.

You MUST dig in for your contract, let it go to cool off, they'd be fools to take the chance of you walking out. SCREW them, they will take their bonuses and sleep well! They don't care, it's to scare YOU (the troops) and calm the investors. Get UM!!!

record load factor is a yawner...now revenue increased 6-7% for the quarter NOW THAT HAS MY ATTENTION!! But I'll believe it when I see the SEC filings for the first quarter

No kidding. What matters is profits, not revenue. You can't spend more than you make.

When exactly are you guys planning on "making it work"? 1, 2, 3, more years of negotiations?

I always enjoy hearing from these "nutless wonders" who are always afraid to say who they work for, but are always so free with advice.

I have been on this board in one form or another for the past 11 years, and there's always been some moron available to tell me how to live my life, negotiate my contract, or fly my airplane . . . .

I guess if I was weak-minded as those giving the advice, their advice might seem reassuring, but that ain't the case.

When I want info on filing bankruptcy, how to engage in anonymous gay sex, or how to recover from a certificate action, I'll make sure to ask you, but until then, how about you just enjoy a nice warm cup of STFU?

Victors SO where do you work? So we know when you start NEG..??

Airtran 3 years, but right now as any pilot group, you do not want to NEG. hard. There is not alot you can accomplish with what is going on in the industry.

Besides, there are alot of other airlines that is worst to be at rignt now...id Delta/NW, USAir,United, and all that just fell !!!
