If it doesnt work, call the IT dept. and they will get it working for you. They didnt even have me in the system when I called. It is nice listing from home.

I haven't had any of those problems. Maybe user error? I can make a listing in 90 seconds each and every time. Lately I have been making 7-8 listings/week. Sounds like you haven't dealt with many other pass dept's. This one is a joy compared to AirTran's. The 7 busines day crap will be going away soon enough when they automate that as well.

User error huh? Yeah whatever! Why don't you ask a gate agent or IT dept how many complaints they've had about this new system. Luckily I haven't had to deal with too many pass depts., but the one's I've had to deal with are better than ours. Still seven business days (from when they receive your money) and empty promises of automation.

listme is my third. had the usair phone system which was a pain. jetnet at aa/ae blows away listme. listme is a little slow and squirmy, but not too bad for their first online listing website. i wish it would check other carriers flight status between city pairs. someone from the pass department also told us we could fly on ANY skywest flight (ie the united express / delta connection) flights for $10 / leg. is that true?

did anyone catch the exciting fire hapenning on howell ave today?

How long does it take them to process a swap request in SAP 2 once you submit an email?
Who? AirTran? When they get around to it, at least by the close of Sap II. ;)

Pass bureau... don't get me started. My number 3 gripe at this company, seeing as AAI doesn't come to my home town, I have to write SWA and JB passes primarily, and it sucks.

I put in a pass request on Sunday when I started my 3 day. They're supposed to do them on Mondays. Checked my v-file this evening, nothing in there, which means I get to wait until next time I come to work then go by and ask what gives...

Not cool. Worst pass system I've ever had to use.

My buddy at Frontier is telling me they can drop to a min of 75 hours during DAP, it will be nice to know Airtran's stand on this point.

We can drop to 50 hours of credit during the month, but must finish the month with 70 or greater. Our average line value has been over 83 hours for the past few months.

You can now do it from home also. www.airtran.com/crew about halfway down the page. Worked for me last night at home. 'Bout time.

Hey, thanks for the info . . . if it works, I will take back about one quarter of the nasty things I have said about our IT department, which would be a generous concession from me, and is the only concession that this company can expect from me, and any of my brethren (at least those that have a spine and still own a pair of nuts, of course).

Per the contract, I thought we couldn't drop below 75 credit during SAP I/II at AAI?

Good old FOX news, never correct. There is no such place as 68th and Howell. 68th Street and Howell Ave are both North-South streets and miles apart. <grin>

Once SAP is over, you can usually drop from the "pilot daily open time" part of Flica.
Unless it's a weekend drop. ;)

6 hours to go until Sap II closes and they still haven't even looked at my request and the trip is still in open time. *sigh*

What's the deal with SAP 2? I've had requests in since yesterday that are not done. The trips are still open, and there is no * on my schedule. Anyone else experiencing the same?

I guess they are figuring out what trips they are going to assign to the reserves for the third week in July and they do not have time to look at a line holder's request for a trip. No * on any of the dates that I requested. Requests in since yesterday with the same open time showing. I guess I could try to call..... wait a minute... what am I thinking?? SAP I use to be a futile chance and now it has become the best chance. Best job in the world and I am disgusted with the ineptness of the scheduling and planning departments. This airline could be an amazing success if they would just get their act together and demand a level of professionalism and proficiency within that department. They could save millions of dollars easily if they would allow FLICA to operate as the programmers designed to operate. Continuing to gather names on the petition sheet. Need a LEADER that will ensure that this is handled to eliminate this once a month headache.

Open time is finally starting to disappear, but no * on my schedule, but I didn't get anything in until late last night.

The trip I wanted is gone, just made a 2nd request for when they kill the 1st one due to someone else already getting it.

Also, is it just me, or are a LOT more trips for July uncommutable? I looked in open time, and everyone is doing the same thing I am, dropping their uncommutable stuff for commutable trips. A LOT of them either start at 0700 or end after 2200. Lots more than last month...

That directly equates to less days off at home - if I have to commute in to work, that's no longer a day off. Period. I'm guessing the loss of pilots is making them crunch the lines. 95 hours of credit with 15 days off next month. Take uncommutable days (3) into account, and that's only 12 days off.

NOT what I signed up for.

Yep...made 2 seperate add requests around 12:45 yesterday and the trips were still in open time until I checked this morning and now they are gone. Of course I didn't get either one.

I noticed the same thing. I wonder if they are doing it just to mess with the pilot group...
OBTW - doesn't our current SAP 2 process and the numerous reassignments when on a trip just point out that there is NO WAY we should give these dunderheads the ability to do something like move reserve days off!

I have commutable trips next month but I've got the 11 P.M. flight to my home city.

Yeah, my last flight home leaves about 2115 and the first commute in doesn't land until 0805.

I don't think they're deliberately screwing with us on the pairing construction (although I think they're dragging their feet on SAP because of the T.A. response); I think it's simply a function of fewer pilots on the line to cover the peak summer travel season because more and more guys are quitting. They have to cover those flights with less people, so they're squeezing the pairings.

Happened at my last company using the same software. Fewer people = less commutable trips, higher block (and credit), and fewer "true" days off.

Box score for me on SAP Deux. Two emails reviewed, both denied with asterisks on my screen. Two emails not reviewed. 0-4. Wearing the collar.

Waiting to look at the scraps tomorrow at noon after the Buildup Lines are awarded.

Quote for tomorrow

"Denied. CS: Insufficient Reserves on xx Jul."

Hey, you can't win, if you don't play.

Same here. Big strike-out, and Sap II is over.

I have yet to be awarded ANYTHING on Sap I or II for the last 3 months.

I'll be on right at the noon bell tomorrow trying to swap or just outright drop the uncommutable trips. I'll pick stuff back up over the month as it comes available, or just stay home.

I got one trip in SAP I. Swapped 1-2 Jul for 1-3 Jul. That's pretty much a no brainer. Pickup days/swap trips during intergration. Those trips are red light specials.

I've got two very commutable 4 days on 7-10 Jul and 14-17 Jul. PM me and I'll give you the details if those days work for you. The 7-10 Jul I'll probably put on the trade board if I can't swap it. Working man/woman 26 hour 4 day with PHF, MCO, DCA with the longest layover being 13 hours. I know, a bit too much like work for your liking.

Maybe we can start our own internal SAP 2 to go along with the Healthy AirTran Pilots Group Insurance Plan?

No doubt... I'm not even going to express what I'm thinking about this whole SAP debacle. Useless to do manually, utterly worthless.

I have a 4-day on the 14-17 already I'm trying to swap for 13-16 (start Friday instead of Saturday, need the 17th-19th off).

I also have a 3-day on the 7-9th but it's uncommutable on the front, but worth 22:47. Yeah, no sh*t. I'd rather not burn my own hotel, so was looking for a 4-day starting on the 6th instead since I'd be commuting anyway, so you probably wouldn't be interested.

Will see what tomorrow brings for daily trades.

I want to slide the trip on the 7th to the 8th or 9th. Snowball's chance in he** of that happening on the weekend after the 4th of July but I'll be out there trying.

I confirmed with some union folks that they knew planning was intentionally slowing SAP 2 down to make it nearly impossible to get trips swapped out. Payback they suppose. They're not willing to fight it, rather they want to play osterich and insert heads into the sand.

They might find themselves on the receiving end of their own *payback*.

Unfortunately, our Planners and Schedulers haven't figured that out yet... The same at a lot of other companies with bad employee relationships as well. :(

Well I'm with that. It's pretty obvious that a little game is being played here and with lack of communication from our "leaders" this is all that I can assume. I'll just adjust my own schedule and encourage everyone else to to the same. SAP 3 if need be!
