From flattish wont fly to a strike vote. Really?

Sure. Like going from a water pistol to a KAC SR25 7.62 in full auto.

Like going from a KIA to a Ferrari.

Think about the recent SL,s and not only the percentages that voted FOR them, but the percentages that bothered to vote at all.

The only Union Reps that would be that clueless to put that before our Pilot Group would be PCL, Lear or Ty.....and they wouldn't even be given the position of "Toilet paper specialists" down at Empire Central thank God......

Well if was Unity you were all after, why didn't you all just have a BBQ and Brats get together?

So voting to Strike was a way for "Happy" Pilots to build Unity?

The fact that you would use such idiotic logic speaks volumes.....

The fact that you and PCL and Lear were running the Union using such idiotic logic speaks of a waste of Union Dues....

Newsflash . . . Lear and I weren't part of the Union leadership.

Perhaps you should have let all your Eastern Scabs run your "Union". Things couldn't have been worse now could it?
.

Uh, that was tried . . . before my time at AirTran. It didn't work too well.

Sacha, for a guy who supposedly has 20 years in at SWA, you sure seem to be a pretty unhappy guy. I understand why some of the junior SWA FO's come on here to vent, but why would a guy with 20 years' seniority spend the time to make almost 500 posts on here, nearly every one of them an angry rant directed at guys who are all merged in below him?

Seems to me you have some serious issues. You may think you have 11 years left at SWA, but I'm betting you medical out long before then. Hope you're treating your wife right; you're going to need her to change your diapers, buddy.

You forgot the last part which stated......

"MIT....it's a University...in Boston....nevermind"....

That was important because it encapsulates what appears to be your lack of intelligence.
Along with PCL and Lear I might add...

Carry on.

Says the guy with 5,963 posts.......

Like I said. You don't come across as very intelligent.

Oh. One other thing. Why did you delete the part of your previous post that details something about Me and Wave, packing sand etc. etc.?

Then you post something about me being angry and needing help etc? Really?

I would like to see SWA's spirit and customer service survive, but lose the -200 mentality and embrace modern technogy.

+ an enthusiastic 1!

I started posting on this idiotic topic when PCL confirmed that ATALPA would not be satisfied with anything worse than date of hire. DOH was your WORST case scenario- straight from one of your highest ranking elected leaders.

Even if I am who you all claim I am, that wouldn't put me as one of AirTran's "highest ranking elected leaders" during the SLI. If you think my sentiments have any resemblance to the sentiments of the MEC during the SLI, then you're vastly mistaken. I personally never would have voted for anything less than DOH, but it's entirely possible that the MEC would have. So don't assume that my thoughts match those of the MEC.

Do you same 10 people get off jerking each other off on here everyday? Go get a life!

Uh, no, we "get off" on kicking each other in the nuts. . . . Thought that would be abundantly clear by now.

Either put on your steel-toed boots and cup, or head over to www.girlscouts.org.

The choice is yours.

Hotels

I'm planning on commuting to ATL as a Capt for the seniority and was interested in commuter hotels. Any ideas??

This should probably be in its own thread. If you're not kicking someone at SWA or AirTran in the nuts, then this comment belongs somewhere else. Although,.... now that I think about it, I can see some AirTran guys taking the "as a Capt for the seniority" part as a semi-subtle sock to the sack*, so maybe you're not that far off.

Bubba

* or boot to the balls, knee to the nuts, jack to the junk; or insert your favorite other turn of phrase here...

Look on the west side of Virginia Ave. Across I85. Lots of food choices within walking distance. Easy walking, especially at night.

Careful Sacha - You just compared your unions policy to a nasty little car and a piece of plastic that squirts. Then you compared ALPA to a fine Italian car and the superior calibre. With the exception of .303

How you been ? :D

Dicko,

I've been great Mate. You?

I guess that's one way of looking at the comparison. ALPA, SWAPA ....doesn't matter to me. I have been with ALPA at 5 previous carriers and it has always boiled down this; how your Association functions is a matter of Member participation, education and the Leaders you elect. Apathy and ignorance on the part of the Membership is key. Particularly when it comes to electing your Leaders.

.303 absolutely. But I just broke away from the pack and purchased a LWRC 10.5" SBR in 6.8mm. Ammo is a little pricey but I am reloading my own which helps.

Strike vote at SWA is humorous. Besides. Never take a Strike vote unless you are willing to carry it out. The Eastern situation was a rare event in which I don't believe we had any other option other than Honoring the IAM strike because we would have been next. In virtually all other situations I believe Pilots should never take their hands off the Thrust Levers.

We'll see what direction SWAPA takes when a significant number of members are FAT f/o's and in some cases holding majorities in WN bases (could be through 2017 with the capturing of all of the AT captain seats). Just another of the many unintended consequences. This isn't your daddy's Southwest Airlines anymore.

Could you please be more specific? Is this is reference to a strike vote?

So if say 100% of the SWAPA F/O base rep positions are former AirTran then SWAPA will take a turn for the more militant?

Lets say that 100% of the former AirTran guys and 30% of the SWA guys vote to walk, how will that play out at the Negotiating Table?

Not well I suspect.

Perhaps I was missing your point though.

Do you know the purpose of a strike vote?

BTW, there are many more issues affecting SWAPA that a significant number of FAT pilot's could play a hand in.

And no, I'm not going discuss those options here on a public board. You can discuss them amongst yourselves over on pprune.

Do I know the purpose of a Strike Vote?

Really? As an F/O Rep at EAL and someone who walked the line for 6 months, yes. Yes I do.

How about you? Please share your experience and insights.

The fact that you could only answer my questions with a smartass question is telling.

The fact that you could only answer my questions with a smartass question is telling.

And I know that no answer to a smartass question is very telling as well. SWAPA can not count on you to to support them to vote in favor of contractual gains.

How in Gods name would you come to that conclusion based on my view of the likelihood of a strike vote or how the demographics said vote would play out?

Please share your experience on the Picket Line......Luv to hear it.

So, you have yours, and if those punky young folk try to improve their lot in life ******************** them? I see.

I'm not saying a strike is even close, but if the unity is needed, you apparently will be voting no...
