Well this kool aid drinker would be real pissed if they give you money bc you didn't get to go to delta, but I still get all of you bidding senior to me. A choice to go to DAL is a win-win-win. Money over a grievance is a lose-lose- win. You better look towards finding that win-win vs just you win, or I expect you'll fail.

At this point, I'd just be happy to not lose anymore with this "lottery ticket". We haven't won anything.

Sorry, but SWA is stuck in the 80s...

Cant Codeshare (its been almost 2 years) great 700+ in the It dept.(losing millions) can't connect passengers.
Can't charge for bags (losing millions/billions over time)
Twin-engine taxi for years (losing millions/billions over time)
Boarding a complete nightmare! Embarrassed when compared to other airlines.
Standby cant figure out where you are on the stby list? Really?
Cant assign seats?
Buddy Passes are paper and request only? 2012 anyone?
Internet on the fleet? AA Yes Airtran Yes Delta Yes
6-7 week training course for qualified airline pilots (wasted millions) (DL mgt did it right)
One hour and ten minutes to get a drink in the middle of the cabin? Where are the carts?

Was not really impressed on first flight.

I thought SWA was getting all 58 737s in 2012,2013,2014=NO? oh well, guess those upgrades on those aircraft can wait. SWAPA cant be happy. Heard AT was keeping 41 of them till late in 2014?
Why would SWA mgt want to pay higher rates and not be able to collect bag fees on those flights.

Would go to Delta=just saying !

In my opinion.. SWA needs to learn to be more tactical -react, adapt, and make some changes a lot quicker, instead of being so strategic. the 2010's and 20's are going to be nothing like the 1980's and 90's. The edge that swa had then is gone. -and its not coming back in the same form. The last couple years are a good example of whats to come. That and many of the employees there need to come to the realization that their sh!t does in fact stink just like the rest of us.

First come / first serve puts fault of bad seat on pax shoulders vs airline, probably increases customer opinion because if you get middle seat you think " well I should have gotten to the airport another hour earlier"

Keeps down the soda costs if it takes all flight to disperse. Probably took a bit to get to service because they had to sing a song first.

Good point. Southwest Airlines is run so badly, how do we even stay in business? Thanks for all your wisdom, however. I'm sure that the GO will jump all over your suggestions, since you obviously know better how to run an airline than they do.

The only thing you said that I agree is a problem, is that our IT department sucks. They're too slow a lot of the time. Other than that, most of the stuff you bitch about is are consicous decisions, made by an airline management that, for the most part, seems to know what it's doing. For example, it's not that we can't assign seats, it's that we don't want to assign seats. Same with boarding; they've tested other ways, and this works out for us with our non-assigned seating policy.

By the way, you do realize that since you dislike it so much, you DO have options, right?

Maybe to keep that SWA spirit, GK will find a way to pay all of the SWA pilots the same over the next three years..... that would smooth a lot of it over. What pilot would want a "B" scale for three years on their SL?
