You say a lot of nonsense and I don't feel like going through your over 7,000 posts.

Oh, I heard fresh out of training and you are already firing off grievances? You stay classy, RM.....
Haven't filed a single one. Haven't even talked to SWAPA except to ask about health insurance stuff.

Thanks about my dad though...

I long for the time when we can all just sit at the bar and drink a beer together without any of this crap coming up. None of the pilots asked for this. Each side has battled hard for their people and I hope someday soon it can just be over. I hope we can move on, get an improved contract, start growing and kicking butt again. I hope.

"I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope."

Bull.

Actually it was your Counsel that made that statement. I simply agreed with him.

Which is exactly what I said above.

He asked if, in my opinion, our pilots would be delighted if the AirTran pilot were not integrated into the operations of Southwest.

The answer to that question is "Yes." I never wanted anyone on the street. The vast majority of Southwest pilots do not want anybody on the street. Having been furloughed before I have a good perspective of that.

The AirTran pilots not being integrated would have resulted in us being put on the street, and you know that. Nice spin, though.

Hey Lear...I'm sorry to hear about your dad. Y'all will be in my prayers. Even though we are going through a down time, I will say that Swa does still try and help it's people out when you're going through a hard time. I lost my mom 2 years ago and I'll never forget how much Swa stepped in to help. God Bless you and your family brother.

So PCL, what do you have to say about your beloved ALPA now???

EPIC FAILURE...Again. It is time for them to depart the pattern.

PCL, maybe you guys should have pushed for the inforcement of your fragmentation clause instead of chasing windmills. Fragmentation was in your contract and all this DRC complaint was a he said she said. Just a thought.

So PCL, what do you have to say about your beloved ALPA now???

Sorry, but ALPA can't fix your mess. When the pilots bend over and take it up the ass on the SLI, don't expect ALPA to be able to clean it all up for you after the fact.

EPIC FAILURE...Again. It is time for them to depart the pattern.

Having our own representation as long as there are separate operations is still the smart move.

OK, it's done, Lear, our prayers are with your Dad, take care of number one. For the rest, it's over, we need to be one union going forward. SWA is getting the union they deserve. But that cannot become reality without unity. Factionized membership is exactly how management gets what they want, when they want it.

I always wondered why you thought this was some kind of smoking gun about Winsor.

So if you were on the stand and were asked 'wouldn't AirTran pilots like to staple all SW pilots and get SWAPA payrates immediately?' and you said yes, wouldn't that be the same? Or would you just lie and say No? See how stupid this argument is?

Will there be an extra dues assessment for this DRC waste of time? More filet mignon and scotch for the latest ALPA dinner!

Blame others for ALPA's ineptitude, classic. You sound just like that harpy, Big Sis right before we tossed her out. You and the mustache clowns from Herndon are irrelevant and I would rather give my money to a stripper in Vegas than a black hole for pilots who don't like flying airplanes.

Just looked at the Javits ruling. He hammers ALPA pretty hard for not trying to insert any 717 protections in the agreement. Those protections can't be written-in after the fact. Quite a Hail Mary.

Rich, you must remember, your side voted against the first offer protecting ALL your Captain seats. So please quit whining. It would be nice for you guys to start acknowledging the good you are getting from SWA instead of the bad.

Which is BS because we didn't do any negotiating in the second agreement.

I need to get off this forum again. My dad's in the hospital again, I'm freaked about about Rich B, and this isn't helping my stress level.
I'm very sorry to learn of your fathers illness. It is my understanding you have made the transition to SWA. Please be sure and speak with your Chief Pilot about your needs concerning caring for and being with your dad during his time of need. The company did everything possible for me when my mother was ill. Their only questions were: how can we help and how much time do you need? Please don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it, they WILL be there for you.

-9,

You disagree with the arbitrators premise?

Or are you saying SWA/SWAPA, did not allow AAI/ALPA enough time to insert 717 protections in SL10?

dude, let it go. Let's all let it go. a better SWAPA, better unity, better friendships. We have all had ********************ty cards dealt at one time or another. Just let it go.....

I always wondered why you thought this was some kind of smoking gun about Winsor.

I don't know that I would use the term "smoking gun." It was just finally a SWAPA official saying out loud what we all always knew.

So if you were on the stand and were asked 'wouldn't AirTran pilots like to staple all SW pilots and get SWAPA payrates immediately?' and you said yes, wouldn't that be the same?

See, here's what you've never understood, red: I would answer "no," and it wouldn't be a lie. I don't believe in trying to achieve a windfall at the expense of fellow unionized pilots.

Will there be an extra dues assessment for this DRC waste of time? More filet mignon and scotch for the latest ALPA dinner!

No assessment. And if you knew the MEC, you'd know that hamburgers and Budweiser are more likely at a union dinner.

What I'm saying is that after the first agreement was voted down, the terms of the second agreement was dictated to us as a take it or leave it offer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you not agree to take it rather than leaving it? I can only assume that taking it was deemed to be preferable, so here we all are. We on this side agreed to take it as well, but I really had no idea that both sides would continue to bitch about it for what seems to be an eternity.

It would be nice for you guys to start acknowledging the good you are getting from SWA instead of the bad.

I see your point but when the bad affects your whole family and there are no other viable options, it is hard to see/talk about the good. I believe this is a point that RSW guys have a hard time seeing from our perspective.

25 years ago..I signed up to be a "Jet Pilot". I am one tonight. Next,I will shovel unicorn $hit out of the stables for 60 days in DAL and then, I will still be doing what I set out to do! The jet thing..not the unicorn stuff!

There's really no spin there, PCL. The the man was asked if, in HIS OPINION, the pilots as a whole (not him specifically) would be delighted if the AirTran pilot were not integrated into the operations of Southwest. It looks like you're trying to twist his words. You should man-up and apologize for that.

Get it right Ron. It is called unicorn droppings!! Common.

Read the 49 page document. I read the award too, which is status quo. Though some look at this personally I do not. I couldn't pick out one peckerwood from the bunch of you. I chose to let it go personally and though for some it needs to be personal choice. Your life has more value than a seniority list.
