Spirit is very close to a new contract thanks to the resources provided by ALPA.

ALPA will keep airlines like Aloha from going away. (Aloha)

Congratulations to the Alpa represented Mesa Pilots in becoming Aloha Pilots.

ALPA will be the answer for AirTran. Alpa has done wonders for many airlines.

Yawn...................

I will sign an APLA card as soon as I see it....it can't be soon enough our NPA is a JOKE, WORTHLESS, DISFUNCTIONAL, PUPPET MASTER, SPINELESS, NOT WORTHY OF EVEN BEING CALLES A UNION!!!
WE spend about 1.8 million a year and all we have got for that is the further errosion of our contract, oh and two pilots out of a job and our union is doing business as usual....no I think ALPA will win hands down most folks don't see the teamsters as a good fit for PILOTS.

What makes you think ALPA will change that? Your MEC will still be AirTran pilots, much like the ones you already have in charge of your Union.
The only difference is that you will be paying ALPA 2% of your paycheck for nothing in return....but the MEC will have a great time at all thier conventions.

I forget Praters new slogan. Is it' "Taken it in the back" or "taking it up the backside"???

Marty:
Who did you guys have representing you at Gulfstream?
When they fired you for failing to pass your initial checkout who represented you? Did you ever get your PFT money back?

We already pay 2.1% for nothing, so 1.95% is at least a discount. Pay more for less. Gee, what a great deal.

Our union needs adult supervision. For example, our union President actually called the cops and had them escort out members of our own committees. The investigation afterwards was able to turn up absolutely nothing that these guys had done wrong, but their reputations are now harmed as a result of the NPA's incompetence. Would something like this have happened if ALPA had been around? Of course not. The ALPA attorneys would have advised against it and the ALPA President never would have authorized such a silly display.

FOs that top out at $79/hr? Unacceptable.
I agree. So what do you suggest you should pay the company to fly that airplane, since you've done it in the past.
Think of the number of pilots you put out of a job because you wanted to pay for that job. It's all about you, how fast PCL_128 can move up the ladder.
So I ask you again, how much are you willing to pay for your job?

Alpa and Teamsters -- airlines and autos-- now there is a combination that certainly works and has a tremendous success rate.
And how many carriers are there today versus a number of years ago? And how easy is it to take your skills to another carrier?
At least an in house union has your interests at heart and does not have you fighting for some one elses problems.

yeah NPA voting now with just 4 days left and only 600 pilots that have voted out of 1700. Really active pilot group. NPA has sent emails out for the past several days and no one votes?????? WHY???

ALPA is going to change what ?? I do not think ALPA would be voting to throw the furlough guys out of the union ..... good things just keep coming...

I agree if people in the union are looking into files that is not any of their business or committee; it could be against the law, and the union could be sued. Pres. did the right thing, our attorney is a joke!!
