Change the landing gear extinsion speed to prevent this from happening too. Highest regards to the crew.


Good call! Flaps arent enough and instead of fixing the actuator they just restrict your extension speed. "uhhh maybe this will work!"


Side note: That AWAC plane was the 3rd emergency aircraft in a row that landed in PHL last night. We were there waiting for departure and American came in "fuel emergency". 3 miles behind them US mainline came in "fuel emergency".

Air Wis was the third. Never have I heard of three commercial aircraft emergency landings in a row. Not to mention the question of how the fuel emergencies got to that point, because PHL was running fairly smoothly prior to the emer declares.
