Ya'll wanna know the best part? 'Bling-bling' is a freight dog. I do believe he works for Empire, flying the mighty F-27 and the "state-of-the-art" ATR-42. Not sure what his beef with ACC is. Last time I checked both companies fly boxes for somebody else. Albeit, Empire is doing so under 121 which is soooo much better.

On a uniform run, it's blue slacks, pilot shirt, tie, wings, and blue/sliver shoulder boards.

On a non-uniform run, it's jeans and a issued Maroon company polo shirt.

Charter is non-uniform.

Are we responsible for aquiring the uniform or does ACC provide it at a cost to us?

Just to clerify, they give us an amount and we go off and buy the uniform from wherever we want? Do you have any suggestions of places to buy from?

CANNON BALL!!!!! I just slipped the floaters on my arms and joined the pool for ACC. Thanks to everyone on here who threw in their two cents.

Ya missed the boat my friend! I assumed by saying 121 is "soooo" much better than 135 that would imply my sarcastic tone. Having done both a couple of different times, I find it humorous when one side thinks they are better than the other. I do believe Airtran is the only carrier that discriminates based on where you got your time.

I was merely pointing out the amusing fact that "blingair" is just another freight dog, however because he works for Empire (ie. 121 world) his crap don't stink like everybody else's.

Rock out....thanks for the rundown:)

I recieved that when I first sent in my resume. I think that is the general response till they schedule a time for interviews.

Or do you mean the posted mins on their website for Captain? Also, whats the typical amount of hours flown per month? I'm just trying to gouge how long it might be before an upgrade is possible.

You weren't happy with the advised upgrade times at Skyway. What's the dang hurry??? Don't want to be an F/O for more than a month???

HMM

No hurry just researching and trying to not take a pay cut while still advancing in this industry. I guess Im a jacka$$ for wanted tomake the best outta my situation jerk.

So, if your profile is correct and you have 800 hrs, you're going to take a paycut no matter what.

You're better off waiting until 1200 hrs (yes, that means being PATIENT - truly a novel concept) and getting a 135 job when you meet the requirements.

You're a long way from being a CA of any 135/121 airplane.

You're not completely right but Im not gonna get in a pissing match with you. There are jobs out there that pay more than what I make but if I can combine a step up in my career with higher pay then good for me. Just trying to research and see if I could take a cut and F/O it for awhile and then get a relatively quick upgrade and make a decent check then I wouldn't mind taking a cut for awhile. Or should I just keep on pushin and hit those 1200 hours and see what happens. Just researching, not flamebaiting.

All that other stuff about pay cuts and everything aside, I didn't think it was such an unreasonable question. My understanding is that the upgrade time can be pretty quick (1200) for F/O's who've been with the company for a while, depending on the needs of the company, of course. I agree with T-Gates though - plan for the worst case.

I'd like to get hired straight into the left seat myself. I don't mind exercising a little patience, I just want to hurry up and get it over with!
