ABX Air Declares DHL in Fault of Agreement

10 percent is huge given the amount of revenues that are being talked about.

I’m curious though, the 8 k mentions a total outside revenue of 10%. Is the total “Total” revenue of what flies through the ACMI and sort facilities that DHL is paying for?
 
I wonder if witholding these payments is DHL's way of smacking the P-P of any "independent contractor" who would dare to pursue non-DHL business?
 
If DHL is paying for the gas and the sort then it would make since for DHL to bent about ABX throwing on extra pallets (outside business) on board while DHL is paying for the tab. On the other hand if ABX is flying outside freight beyond it's contract (paying for it's own sort, fuel etc paid by ABX) it should be none of DHL’s business.

It's not cancelled. It's done. They're just deciding where to show the expense. Pg. 31 of the Interim Report.
But still not completely paid for yet, if it follows the same form as the Polar purchase. Page 32.

Yep. But it's done. It's just a question of what the final cost for DHL will be.

It would have make sense, from the DHL perspective, to have made their stake in Astar and have Astar buy ABX on the day they purchased Airborne Express. A bit late for that now though.

The original plan was for ASTAR to purchase ABX immediately after the merger. Brown and Purple threwn in a monkey wrench with their foreign owner lawsuit.
 
This puts the ABX CHI purchase in fuller light, with the 10% outside business cap on their DHL contract. Since they are separate companies they can grow those businesses without worry of their DHL contract issues.

Anyone see it different?

The 10% cap is what I was asking about too. It’s not good for the stockholders or employees if growth outside of DHL is limited to 10%.
