I am in an argument with another pilot at work who states (on the average) "only a captain can initiate a rejected T/O". I informed him he was mistaken and the PM or FP could call an abort and the FP would initiate the abort. In short, a captain doesn't have to approve an abort before one is initiated. I understand this is OPS specific so please include your current or prior company in your response please.
Thanks

Ops Specs, or you could have a problem. I think a Korean Airline had an issue where the captain wanted to abort and the FO decided it was ok to go. There was a fight over control of the plane. Of course the outcome was fatal.

I fully understand each company is different, that is why I want to know what YOUR company has to say about the subject.
Thanks

damn you're fast! ;) couldn't delete it quick enough.

You're right. You don't want a fight at a 100kts.

Why did you delete it?

Per our company FOM- Pilot noticing calls out the problem, CA always makes the go/no go decision.
