And does that agreement say there WILL be 717s on property after 2014? I thought not, but good luck ignoring the obvious.

Many of us were awarded SWA 717 Capt/FO. A position that will not exist. We will be displaced to the 737. Time will tell with regards to the DRC.

If I were a SWA FO with a seniority below about #800 on the FO list, I'd be hoping that the AAI Capt's keep their seats. At least that way, they won't be displacing senior FO's while they wait to reclaim their seat.

Voted for and passed by AT ALPA Pilots by 83%. This agreement was plan B and was after they shot down Plan A, the deal that would have "protected" their Captain seats and ATL base. :crying:

Happy Easter - bitches!!! :cartman:

To clarify your statement..THEY shot down...THEY,was our MEC, not the 1700+ people that it affected. We did not get to vote on it.We didn't have a say in the matter, Except for, electing officials that we THOUGHT would look out for us! "Rejection" of plan A..is on FL's back..specifically, a few individuals.

Absolutely true. I'm sure it will go down as the biggest integration debacle of all time. All thanks to a few people that thought they could twist Gary's arm for more.

The 1700 deserved to vote on their collective future and not have the rug pulled underneath them.

The reason the MEC rejected SIA#1 was because it didn't meet the minimum requirements, period. Just because SIA #2 was passed at gunpoint doesn't make it right. However, it is what it is.

FWIW, the SWA F/O's below #800 got burned by their leadership as well . . .

The only pilots unscathed by this were senior SWA Captains and very junior AAI F/O's.

What were the "minimum requirements"? Remain on AT pay scale for an extra 2 1/2 years and relinquish all captain seats?

Think what you want, buddy . . . For a 12th year guy like me, AT pay is higher . . . and with fully-commutable schedules.

They still don't get it. Here at AAI we use a different metric. While the entire world goes to work for money we go for workouts, days in Mexico, good commutes, and the feel good status of quality rankings.

So enjoy your shorter trips, excessive compensation, and complex base structure. We will basque in the glory our MEC provided. I think I speak for all junior FOs when I say we were really unscathed... And by unscathed I of course mean 7 years of reserve, fixed income, reduced pay until 2015, a 20 year upgrade... Yep ALPA really looked out for us!

Hey look a SWA 737 with a 2nd year FO. That fool is making double our bottom 400... I wonder how many workouts he can get in on his trip!

Yeah I bet he doesn't even fly to PUJ! Look, no SE taxi! What a money drain.

I'll happily work for half pay so they can taxi on double the engines!

Me too! Because every overnight is a sunny beach spot!
