Like Walll Steet gives a rats a$$

You absolutely don't get it.

In my briefing to those who came to our EWR staging site I said the order of our Target Audience for this and every public unity event:

1: OUR PILOTS

2: OUR PILOTS

3: OUR PILOTS

4: OUR PILOTS

5: OUT PILOTS

6: OUR PILOTS

7: OUR PILOTS

8: OUR PILOTS

9: OUR PILOTS

10: OUR PILOTS

11: The Company

12: The Financial Community

13: Other Unions/employee groups

14: The News Media

The 500 pilots who attended this event are bursting with pride. Many of these pilots were before Wednesday our strongest critics of our union. If this event failed our chances of unifying this group and getting a descent contract was Nil.

Today our pilots can't wait to do it again and again. They are going to get a special Wall Street Bull APLA pin and they are going to wear it with great pride. When these 500 pilots talk to every other pilot and these pilots see there excitement and renewed energy they will attend our next event. It will be even better attended and the same for the next one and so on.

Pretty soon we are going to have 5000 pilots unified all wearing ALPA pins ready to fight the common enemy MANAGEMENT! Managements biggest fear according to author of Confessions of a Union Buster by Marty Levitt is when the pilots unify and follow the union lead

What you witnessed in the picture is 500 Continental Pilots who were very down the past years due to no union leadership or any real unionism. No they are in the 100 yards from the most recognizable financial land mark in the world which also is adjacent to TWO HUGE CONTINENTAL ADVERTISEMENTS (one you can't see in the picture) standing shoulder-to-shoulder (500 strong) in demonstration of their unity and resolve.

Screw Wall Street
Screw CAL Management
Screw the Media It's all about the PILOTS BABY!

On March 12th the pilots of Continental for the first time since the strike of 83 demonstrated some real unity. They earned the right to be proud!

Unity is built one day at a time, on Wednesday March 12, 2008 the Continental pilots received ten years, three weeks and six days worth of unity in one shot!

That is the least we could do. Thank you to you and every other non Continental pilot who showed up we really appreciated it. I wear an APA Pin right next to my regular ALPA pin and my UAL SPC ALPA pin.

Did you show up in EWR or at the NYC Police Museum? How was the set up at the NYC Police Museum for lunch? I never left the main picket site. When I toured the Museum looking for a break site for our event I was very impressed. I strongly recommended to our MEC to use the Museum as our NYC Staging Site and picket break area. Did you get to see the touching 9/11 tribute?

Please thank all the other APA union brothers and sisters that came and participated. I hope the AA pilot who left his blue over coat in our panel van got it back. I am told he did.

Hey CAL, I think I said hello to you while walking by on the picket. Honestly, it was our pleasure to be able to support, as I'm sure folks will do when we have our events. This is what unity is all about, it affects everyone regardless of the uniform.

Missed the tribute, but did go back for lunch at the museum. The set up was fine, we were all pretty hungry after our 30 min "cardio session" in cold wx. It was also a great opportunity to shoot the shee-it with fellow pilots and trade notes. I had a great time.

Keep up the good fight!

(And, since none of our union leaders are willing to go to jail, we'll NEVER get it done...)

Always love that quote which usually comes from a person who 1.) isn't an elected official 2.) has never ran to be an elected official 3.) probably has never even voted or if has only once in any LEC elections 3.) considers attending 1 or 2 union functions over a career as having volunteered time for the union......

Pictures of unity are the only unity ALPA can muster.....Merge these pilots or whipsaw them and the picture will turn into a food fight.....

Image above substance.......

You can't stand it Joe.. even when ALPA does something good.... you still gotta pee in the sandbox....

Joe....name one thing that you've done to make this profession better for someone else...

1. This is "good"? It was touchy feel good stuff......it doesn't build "unity".... How are the XJT pilots affected by the CAL scope? Are they included in the negotiations?

2. I helped to negotiate an industry leading contract in 1998.....including Agency Shop..... I engaged in WOE write-up campaigns to support that contract. I engaged in a write up campaign to support the CMR pilots when their airplanes and passengers were transferred to ASA during their strike. I engaged in picketing with the CMR pilots while their airplanes and passengers were diverted to ASA.

3. I don't believe in ALPA anymore and have no interest in becoming the next CMR/CCAir/ALG/WestAir.....

I have done my support for a union that doesn't really exist....now I am looking out for number one.....just like most other ALPA members.....

Seems like those that were there have positive to say about it...

you weren't there and you've got negative to say about it....

Every sentence starts with "I".

You don't believe in ALPA cause you can't function in ALPA or any type of group dymanic. Face it Joe... you don't know how to function in democracy. it is your way or no way...

I have done my support for a union that doesn't really exist....now I am looking out for number one.....just like most other ALPA members.....

Wrong again.... you thought you knew democracy... see the problem with you Joe... is... you live in a democractic society but you have no clue how it works or functions... thus you are the equivilent of a socialist or even communist state....

Those types of citizens have no control or say in the governence of thier lives..... and neither do you.... and yet you live in a free country....

Get it Joe... you had all the opportunity to represent yourself... but you could not. You can't.... you don't have the skillset to see it through...

You failed. But it is easier to say they failed... that ALPA failed.... it is easier to talk about ALPA than it is to talk about Joey....

I'm looking for results....not photo ops and kumbaya.....You didn't answer about the XJT pilots....are they included in the scope negotiations or are they going to have to just live with the results....

Ahhh....that's because YOU asked what I have done for the profession....I answered YOUR question.....When you ask me what I do....you will here the word "I"......are you really this stupid or is it just an act....

Honest question here..

Do you think the CHQ, Colgan, and XJT pilots should be consulted during the CAL negotiations? What exactly would their purpose be? If they demanded 90 seat aircraft should the pilot group simply give up the language that protects mainline jobs. Honestly, is that what your advocating?
