Sorry I couldn't actually post the picture unlike other forums the limitations of this forum prevent me uploading the picture.

Nevertheless please click on the link to see an assume picture of Continental's first picketing event in ten years, three weeks and six days.

I would also like to thank the pilots from the following airlines who stood shoulder to shoulder with their union brothers at Continental in the financial capital of the world.

Express Jet
United
American
Delta
Northwest
Alaska
Air Tran

If I forgot anyone I from a different airline I apologize in advance. As one of the organizers of this event I haven't slept in a month. I did want to put something up on this forum. Yesterday over 500 Continental pilots were very proud to be a Continental pilot.

Way to go. Your efforts were mentioned back here at IAH in the classroom several times (all in good words)!

Very Nice, we need to keep it up! Now is the time to get things back on track!

Now that's just a beautiful sight. Well done, guys. Sorry I couldn't be there this time, but glad some guys from the Tran made it.

Very nice job CAL guys and gals!! It's good to see the pilot group there is pushing to restore some of what was taken away. Pilot's lives need to be somewhat restored, after all of the sacrifices that have been made in the last few years. We are counting on you guys, not just in the US, but all around the world. It affects us all. Thanks and keep fighting the good fight.

Here's what got posted on The Street.com. No mention of greedy pilots.

Nearly 500 Continental(CAL - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) pilots marched on Wall Street on Wednesday, saying they want to be rewarded for sacrifices they made when the airline was ailing three years ago.
"Our company came to us with a request for a loan to help them through a rough patch, and we gave it to them," Mark Adams, spokesman for the Continental chapter of the Air Line Pilots Association, said of the 2005 arrangement. "The loan is due now and payable with interest."
Pilot work rules, pensions and pay concessions in that contract were valued at about $213 million annually. All told, Continental employees made $500 million in concessions, after the carrier said they were needed to avoid a potential liquidity crisis. In 2007, excluding special items, Continental reported a pretax profit of $542 million.
The pilot contract becomes amendable Dec. 31, 2008, but the two sides have already nearly completed talks regarding noneconomic issues, and will begin next month to discuss compensation.
The demonstration aside, the relationship between Continental and its pilots is among the industry's best. The Wall Street rally marked the pilots' first picketing event in 10 years, Adams said. "We have a fairly good working relationship with management at Continental, in so far as airline management labor relations go," he said.
Continental spokeswoman Julie King concurred. "Unlike our network competitors, Continental has been working cooperatively with its pilots," she said. "We began contract discussions last July, a full 18 months ahead of schedule."
But King added that there are "significant challenges" facing the industry, such as record jet fuel prices and worries about a recession. "When the cost of a pilot goes up, they have to pay that, just like they have to pay for an increase in the cost of fuel," Adams said. Know What You Own: Continental operates in the airline industry, and some of the other stocks in its field include AMR (AMR - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr), Delta (DAL - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr), Southwest (LUV - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr), US Airways (LCC - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr) and JetBlue (JBLU - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr). These stocks closed at ($9.78, +5.05%), ($10.53, +3.95%), ($11.70, +1.83%), ($8.76, -2.88) and ($4.84, +1.68%) respectively. Hey Rez, I looked great in my hat! :D

Thanks for lunch guys!

That is the least we could do. Thank you to you and every other non Continental pilot who showed up we really appreciated it. I wear an APA Pin right next to my regular ALPA pin and my UAL SPC ALPA pin.

Did you show up in EWR or at the NYC Police Museum? How was the set up at the NYC Police Museum for lunch? I never left the main picket site. When I toured the Museum looking for a break site for our event I was very impressed. I strongly recommended to our MEC to use the Museum as our NYC Staging Site and picket break area. Did you get to see the touching 9/11 tribute?

Please thank all the other APA union brothers and sisters that came and participated. I hope the AA pilot who left his blue over coat in our panel van got it back. I am told he did.

Next, we need pilots from ALL airlines picketing.

And, then, ALL pilots from ALL airlines picketing...TC

P.S.--Sorry about that last suggestion. We all know that would be illegal and since we can't re-write the laws like our management does, we'll never get the chance to "legally" do what needs to be done. (And, since none of our union leaders are willing to go to jail, we'll NEVER get it done...)
