To be fair, it's CO people at the helm, and they have no experience with them.
And JO briefly worked for CO....

Can someone help me with the math. 30 New Aircraft for UAL, 20 New Aircraft for US Airways at 10 pilots per aircraft = 500 pilots, plus hiring for 117 rules, plus attrition = 750 new pilots. This will mean that every FO on the property will have a chance to upgrade. It may also be worth noting that there were no concessions. Even during the chapter 11 there was never a word about an 1113 contract rejection. Does this make Mesa the only airline to go through Chapter 11 without reducing its labor costs? The best operating performance for three years and now 500 additional pilots? just saying?
It's in a press release. Skywest inc paid $133 million. More than XJT had in the bank!

In all seriousness, I can't confirm or deny the rumor because this is the first I've heard of it.. But I hope it's true. And congrats to Mesa, btw.
You have no idea what you are talking about? There was never an 1113 proposal to consider, and there was most certainly pressure to consider one. The ONLY airline BK to not include an 1113 is just a fact. Lots of changes could have been made but were not. Just sayingthank your previous mec for not selling out to skywest when the offer was on the table and you had nothing to do with the 1113 since the creditors commitee never considered it with the current mesa pay....
let the truth be known
I think it might have something to do with seniority. Mesa pilots earn real dollars, not scale dollars. I am not certain but I was told there were 130 pilots in 2013 who will earn more than $120,000.
so whats your point? they have been there over 20 years
come on find something better to argue about

They make more than $120,000 per year. They love their job, and we are getting annual increases? What is so confusing? Better to grow than go out of business, as many would wish?
