To be fair, it's CO people at the helm, and they have no experience with them.
And JO briefly worked for CO....

FYI Mesa has also signed up for 700mil. in additional loans to buy another airline. My money is on Eagle.
Thats a lot of $$$ did'nt SkyWest buy XJT for under 200 mill...??...
Do you have any source for this rumor? I call BS

I anxiously await the spin on this document from management/Rene.

Can someone help me with the math. 30 New Aircraft for UAL, 20 New Aircraft for US Airways at 10 pilots per aircraft = 500 pilots, plus hiring for 117 rules, plus attrition = 750 new pilots. This will mean that every FO on the property will have a chance to upgrade. It may also be worth noting that there were no concessions. Even during the chapter 11 there was never a word about an 1113 contract rejection. Does this make Mesa the only airline to go through Chapter 11 without reducing its labor costs? The best operating performance for three years and now 500 additional pilots? just saying?
It's in a press release. Skywest inc paid $133 million. More than XJT had in the bank!

In all seriousness, I can't confirm or deny the rumor because this is the first I've heard of it.. But I hope it's true. And congrats to Mesa, btw.
You have no idea what you are talking about? There was never an 1113 proposal to consider, and there was most certainly pressure to consider one. The ONLY airline BK to not include an 1113 is just a fact. Lots of changes could have been made but were not. Just sayingthank your previous mec for not selling out to skywest when the offer was on the table and you had nothing to do with the 1113 since the creditors commitee never considered it with the current mesa pay....
let the truth be known
I think it might have something to do with seniority. Mesa pilots earn real dollars, not scale dollars. I am not certain but I was told there were 130 pilots in 2013 who will earn more than $120,000.
so whats your point? they have been there over 20 years
come on find something better to argue about

They make more than $120,000 per year. They love their job, and we are getting annual increases? What is so confusing? Better to grow than go out of business, as many would wish?
you did not ask for 1113 because you had no chance with the crediitors committee thats why you ask for a paycut directly to the mec and they told you to go pounf sand
i know very well what i am talking about.
now settle the contract you have been negotiating for 3 years and move on
make sure you dont make the same mistakes you did in the past
Lawsuits is Hawaii were six years ago. Light years in the regional airline biz. Mesa is a much different company today. Nmanagement screw ups and lawsuits with the fiasco in hawaii almost put mesa out of business . not the pilots
How is that relevant - it does not even have PNCL in the comparison. Not particularly impressive

Hard to believe even if you include per diem...
If you multiply your top captain rate by a 1000 hours a year max, still don't get close to "more than $120,000".
most of the senior captains do IOE at a 20% override, any junior available assignments are paid at 200% above guarantee, any illegal reassignments are paid at 200% above guarantee, 100% cancellation pay, line guarantee, Scheduled or actual......its not hard to get to that 120,000 a year flying the 900.
mesa has also been offering 300% pay for incentive flying too.
Not trying to make this a "my paycheck is bigger than yours" argument, but I've been breaking that mark for years, without doing OE/training, and not really killing myself on extra flying. And that's flying the 200 (all we have at AWAC).
You should be making a lot more on a 700 or 900.
Peace.
Rekks
I agree, rome wasn't built overnight either. Mesa is in negotiations and we plan on getting a pay raise via rates this time. Although Endeavor (pinnacle and PSA) are making that quite tough to do. Time will tell, hopefully when push comes to shove, mesa pilots have some balls (like eagle) and do whats right for the industry.
What you do not understand is the role of the creditors committee. They were pushing very very hard for an 1113? Just ask those who were there.

now go settle the contract so you dont lose the 175s from united
run CP run
rene; Hats off to the Mesa pilots for their dedication and persevere over a long period. Well done.[/QUOTE said:Actions speak louder than words do... If you mean what you are saying at the above statement and since you are on the table the settle the contract which you drag your feet on the the last 3 years
