All I have to say is those of us at QX say THANK YOU!!! I have been hit by the lack of the unlimited jump on AA 3 x's and it changed a one leg commute to a 3-4 leg 18 hour day twice.

Air Wisconsin still not on the list. Great.

Don't feel too bad. The actual American Airlines pilots that are on furlough don't even have pass benifeits, much less JS privileges.

Thanks APA. You rock.

Neither is Expressjet, which I made sure to point out to the American guy I gave a ride to the other day. Glad to see Mesa gets priority though...

If you are on furlough at any airline, you don't get the j/s. No airline ID = no j/s. This was the subject of a thread a few months ago.

Pass privileges are a different matter, I believe we get 16 months of pass priviliges (D2P) after furlough.

Not an APA fan either

P.S. rightrudder, Air Wisc will eventually get added... if your airline gives us unlimited, you will eventually be included. J/S commitees work very slowly with management, as I'm sure you know.

Actually, depends on when you were furloughed. Ran from low of 0 months (the post 9-11 gang) to 18 months (the concession kids)(extendable to 24 months, I believe, if you were a teaam player and didn't bang in sick after you got your furlough notice).

Regards,

AA73,
Air Wisconsin is unlimited across the board, for anyone who has privileges on our list. That includes AA. This is usually a problem only with some gate agents. If you have a problem, have your j/s coord. contact ours to resolve the issue.

Rekks

Could you post the complete list again, or where we can find it?

For some reason I lost my "Jetnet" access a few years ago. ;)

furlough fodder--I still have Jetnet access 'till Sept. I forward all the archives I have--especially all those great blurbs about how much money the employees are saving to help the company. And how hard, I mean REALLY hard, the management is working to turn the boat around.

Stand by for some warm-fuzzies... :rolleyes:TC

***Blue indicates carrier with unlimited jumpseat agreement - unlimited jumpseat policy only applies on domestic routes (defined as 50 U.S. states plus U.S. Virgin Islands)
***Green indicates CASS carrier
***Evergreen Helicopters is a separate division of Evergreen International. Its helicopter crews are not eligible for jumpseat travel.

FreightDog... and to all those wondering about reciprocity if you give us unlimited (thanks..) - your airline will eventually be added. We will reciprocate in time, it's just a long process.

I have a quick question about how the system works...

If two guys show up to ride a AA jumpseat, and one guy is from Air Midwest (unlimited) and the other guy is from ATA (CASS only, not unlimited) how does it work? Lets say there is only one jumpseat, but a bunch of seats in the back are open. So does the ATA guy get the jumpseat and the Air Midwest guy get a seat in the back because he has unlimited status?

That's how it should work, but not according to AMR...

The unlimited guy will go and you will stay behind with empty seats in the back. I was trying to get on in DFW and was informed if the unlimited guy showed, I would be left behind. The kicker is I am furloughed from AA (TWA) and had flown with the checkairman Captain and it made no difference. The unlimited regional would have bumped me. I'll try and post a letter I had written to the JS coordinator, but that is the interpretion by AA management.

This isn't quite right. I am furloughed at Hawaiian airlines, and we were issued (by ALPA) jumpseat ID cards which are good on Hawaiian. We are not allowed the actual jumpseat, but can grab an empty cabin seat. I was furloughed over 2 years ago, and was recently issued a new Card which is good for another year.
