Posted today on FLICA. Nov '06 hires awarded captain slots. A few to the 145 in BUF and a few to the CRJ in IAH and CRP. This is just an award, though. Some awards have effective dates as far as May, so it could be more like 1 1/2 years, give or take a few months.

That's damn scary.

Well, if it makes you feel any better most of the guys hired around that time came from other airlines, so they've probably been FOs at various places for at least 2 years.

Upgrade mins are supposed to be 2500. I haven't heard of them lowering it for anyone.

All awards for this announcement have effective dates of May 1, 2008 according to the CPL memo. There could be possible exceptions for those who can begin Short Course training for The CMH RW CA upgrades. (~1 year) in the subject matter of this post is an awfully BIG stretch. These pilots will not see a classroom for several months.

1.5 yr upgrade to a 2 leg commute to CRP or BUF....does that really count? :)
