Alternative to blue juice?
We have our own lav cart for our Hawker and we use the the little blue packs that dissolve in water. Our cart has a 15 gallon service tank and it calls for 1 pack/5gal IIRC but I double it and we have no odor issues. When we dump the lav we will service it with 2 gallons of plain water and flush... -

Incident in EGE
No facts, just second hand info. Possibly a CJ1 that hit the runway hard enough to collapse the gear. Possibly an EGE based airplane. -
WX with ACARS datalink
Agreed. We are on an unlimited plan with ARINC, so no limit on the messages we send/receive or wx request. -

Nextant Beechjet
91K factored landing distance from the AFM in the Beechjet at 11,500 lbs is about 3000 feet with no slope or wind correction. Considering that the NXT 400 is approx 350 lbs lighter than a standard Beechjet and if they landed with 1000lbs of fuel, then 11,500 would be a fairly accurate number... -

I drove up to the Cabo airport this afternoon. The South end of the road has one mile left to complete and that part of the drive is no fun. If you have driven around Cabo previously you'll understand. Stops signs and right aways mean nothing, it is a free for all. These people will just drive... -
Anyone fly into MMSL (Cabo San Lucas) Airport?
Almost the exact same comments I made to the same question asked elsewhere. Even one of our hangar partners (owner flown) who has a house on the hill in Cabo will not go to MMSL after trying it one time last year. -
Going to Mexico!
Be very careful about this. As of Sept the law in Mexico changed and most places will not accept large sums of USD. At SJD they have a large sign at the window that says Debit Cards, AmEx and Visa/Mastercard only no Dollars. -

Yes you must have a Mexican insurance policy. Not a big deal, just call your insurance agent and for a couple hundred bucks your all set. -
