I used to make SAV-GUC a few times a year in a e-90. I flew into gunnison valley. It is a good size valley and you climb over the vor to depart if needed. Never had a problem and you cant beat the sking in crested butte or the people in the town.
simcom
I went to simcom for the e-90 intial and a recurrent. I had zero time in king airs and the training went fine. The sim isnt great but will do the job. I think the sim they use is a c-90. They will work with you to finish early and get home. Good luck
Office work or other activities should not be a part of a professional pilot's duties. Once you agree to the extra work it will become expected. Set the job up right in the beginning and stick to your guns.
My boss has had a house there for about 15 years. Great little place but is under some serious construction. The customs agent's name is Ms. bain and is helpful. It is 20 dollars for a landing fee and 15 for each pass. No fuel is available and the runway is in ok shape. Hope this helps.
I would not rent a car. Driving in the mountains can be tricky and the road to portillo is a major Shipping road. There are tons of trucks.Set up a driver before you get there. The resort at portillo was expensive though the lift tickets are not bad. Good luck.
