    Hrm, some of what you guys doesn't make sense especially with the example I gave. Corona Airport is a TINY airport .. yet its KAJO (and a few years ago it had a non-K ID). It is non-towered. Thanks for the replies!

    Why are some airports, KSNA for example, while others have no "K" prefix? E.g. KAJO is Corona Airport, which has no tower, but has a "K" but 3o8 is Harris Ranch, and has no "K" So what is the difference and how can you tell whether the airport ID should have the "K" or not? Thanks in adv.

    Capt O'Brien, Safety pilot time isn't exactly counted by most overseas carriers, and even if it were, carriers like CX and EK want time in turbine equip 99.9% of the time. Go look on their sites. They aren't looking for a guy w/ 5000hrs in a light twin.

    I agree that if it gets hit by a bird its not a hull loss, but a lot of mechanics have told me its a PITA to fix composite airframes that are damaged.

    Whoever called you has been hired by Enterprise to do a survey. A lot of businesses hire 3rd party company's to do indepedent surveys. Its not a big deal and you're right, they shouldn't be calling at odd hours.

    I just sold my PA-30. Go w/ the PA-30. The Seneca guzzles gas. PA-30 .. 14-15gph .. 155 - 160 KTAS .. 16gph .. 165 KTAS. Operating costs of a single w/ a twin.
