Any Jetblue calls?
Just wondering if anyone has received a call from JB from the recent application window? I know the number of pilots to be hired is very small in relation to the number of applications received, and I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high, but the silence has been deafening. -

Yep. What he said. Same story here. When I got hired at my airline, nobody wanted to work here. Within 5 years we were "the hottest place in aviation" (not my phrase, but appropriate at the time). Now, we are in the toilet and I would not recommend working here. Gold today, garbage... -

Longest Regional flight?
I remember hearing something about it. If you look at the SPM (which I have on our EWR-OKC flights, yawn), if you pull it back to something like .72 it will do over 5.5 hours. So I guess in theory or reality, if you can get up to alt quickly and have favorable winter winds, I can see SFO-EWR... -

Longest Regional flight?
I don't know the mileage, but at XJT we used to do IAH to Flores, Guatemala. It didn't last long, and it's probably not the record holder, but seriously, Guatemala in an RJ - you can't say that Shuttle America..... All you spoiled US/Canada RJ drivers should try flying into third world... -

You're right, Erlanger. And it's still very good advice. Expressjet has rebounded well after those dark days in October when we didn't know if we'd have a job the next day. Maybe this whole thing with CAL-SKW-XJT power play will work out for us in the end. But don't blame me for being bitter... -
