Hey guys, Is there an advantage or disadvantage to interviewing at a job fair versus going to an airlines HR office? I have a date set to interview at the Hr office, but I also noticed that the airline is having a job fair locally in a few days. Any thoughts??
Thanks
I am getting ready to take my CFI practical test and have a question. Can I use any FSDO or are they pretty strict on an applicant using the FSDO nearest to where CFI training was received? Thanks!
Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah Baune, I am not sure how I even have an instrument rating, I mean I did crash and injure the examiner on checkride day. No seriously, I asked a question that everyone answered without any smarta$$ remarks, except you. Anyway, blue skies buddy.
Ok I am getting ready for my CFI checkride and I am trying to explain stalls In a manner that is easy to understand. I know that an airplane will stall when the critical AOA is exceeded. But lets say I am cruising around in a 150 and pull the power....I keep pitching up and up and up and finally...
I was talking to a CFI the other day and we started talking about traffic patterns. This particular CFI teaches to overfly the airport AT pattern altitude, then basically do a teardrop entry to enter downwind. I have read the FAR's and AIM and according to them this practice is wrong. It says to...
I am planning an IFR trip from NW Indiana to Rice lake Wisconsin in a 310. The plane has a Garmin 430 in it. I need help in planning the route. I use fltplan.com for my actual filing. What would be a good route choice going through Chicago? Can I file Direct? I am fairly new at real world IFR...
Thanks for the replies. I have been flying it a bunch the last week, and have it pretty well down. Flaps 15 and 18-20'' on the power and 120 knots works well. The 310 I am flying has the colemill conversion (300hp a side). The things a rocket!
I am curious as to how you guys fly approaches in the cessna 310? I am looking for general info and tips here. Power settings, flap settings, procedures, are all appreciated. Thanks!
Don't stress at all. These guys will take care of you and make sure you know what you are doing in a twin. I think I only got about 4 hours in the plane. I know that does not sound like much, but you will feel comfortable during the checkride. The examiner is awesome. During my short field...
Hey I appreciate the kind responses guys. I will fill out the airlineapps app and send it out to all the regionals listed above. I used to work at Ford in a stamping plant just months ago. I took a buyout package they offered and now I am unemployed. I got my private back in 97 and just got all...
Hey guys, what are the chances of getting called for an interview with a regional with those times? I am Instrument current and have a first class medical. Does anyone have any first hand experiences interviewing with very low hours?
Hi, I did my multi training with this place. They only do multi, cfii, and atp. Very highly recommended. They fly beech travelairs. The examiner they use is just about the nicest guy I have ever met. Here is the number
(817)557-4004. The name of the place is "Multi-Engine Training". I am pretty...
I was wondering if any one else has a horrible memory, and kinda stuggles with repeating back instructions givin by ATC? I will hear the instruction, then sometimes after I acknowledge and say my call sign, I will have forgotton it. I just started really flying alot of IFR. Any insights?? Thanks.
