Make sure you go back and refile your taxes and claim the exemption for all the years you qualified. You are probably looking at some serious cash owed to you by uncle sam.
Then you seriously need a new CPA cause you are losing a lot of money. I have been an expat for 5 years and a bonafide resident of a foreign country and always been over the limit for days as I spend Thanksgiving and Christmas back home. I have always claimed the exemption and it passed an...
Unless you are a bona fide resident of a foreign country, which all EK pilots are. Then there is no limit to the number of days you can spend in the US.
I have wondered the same thing myself. I have been overseas for almost 4 years now and have wondered about trying to come back to the US, but I just can't bring myself to do it.
Just searching the different companies online, Fedex and UPS are the only ones that I have seen that actually list...
TP drove me away from Auburn. I already had my CFI when I started as a freshman and she basically said it was worthless since I didn't do it there. Then went on to tell me how if I left, it would "hurt" my career. Thankfully I left....
I don't think there are any debates... More likely the locals are laughing at these guys because they are coming to work for less than they are. Then discuss how much they hate all foreign pilots.
Me me me. This pretty much sums up what is wrong with the world. Their decisions will affect other people and greatly affect them if they want to fly in the contract world in the future. They should at least take that into consideration. The short term gain could hamper their long term...

If I am wrong, and I might be, I am sure someone will be along shortly to correct me.
Good for you.
I am a capitalists, more so than you think. However, Capitalism, in it's pure form, will never work because human nature tends to mess it up. There will always be a need for some regulation. The last few years have been a great example of why.
What we are trying to do is...
Consider yourself lucky my amigo. I have have been sick 3 of the last 5 times I have been home cause of bad food. With the wages they are being paid, they are going to have to eat like locals. Enjoy the bugs and grubs guys.
The irony here being that you are going to work in a communist country.
So then I assume you are not a union member. Because by your above statement, you would have no problem with me coming to work at ASA for free. After all, I have been working on a real contract and don't really need the...
