I know that normally gear ups are incidents but how is...

Pvt airports section vs terminal chart

Had a good question from a student.....Why are there private airports on the terminal chart that are'nt on the sectional for the same area? I was'nt sure I'd say it was from scale. Also correct me if I'm wrong but private airports are not surveyed in any way they are just "added" if the owner...

Tips on flying old Cessna 182

I'd recommend limiting your flaps unless you have people in back. You may need to add slight power in the the flare to get the the nose up, so you don't pancake.

Anything else, such as canceling flights for mx, showing up late, telling the boss to F...

    Blood Pressure

I agree if your bp is close to 155/95 at home you got problems. You need to exercise, stop caffiene, stop eating junk, lose weight etc. Magnesium supplement with a 2/1 ratio of calcium is 1200 mg calcium to 600 mg magnesium is great for bp. If your bp is fairly normal at home but rises in...

PRIA records from a former employer

How do I go about getting my PRIA records? I had a former employer that did'nt like me so much, although there was never any "training issues". I refused to fly the a/c on a couple occasions. I have a feeling there might be some dirt in the files so I'd like to see them before I...

    MEA question

Your on a airway, you've been cleared to for 5000 feet as filed etc. The mea is 6000 feet and your in radar contact, you know that you are safe obstacle wise. Are you safe? Is it legal? I believe the airway I'm refering to is in New York with a MEA of like 9 or 12000 feet. What do you do in this...

Why is Express Jet Bothering with LOW TIMERS?

Why is a LOI a deal breaker? Who says that they are "guilty" a LOI is just a investigation, they may find nothing happened.
